Since it's a pretty short manga, I'll write a pretty short review.
It's a very sweet story about a girl who wants to be a prince. One day, a princess transfers to her school. You can fill in the blanks with what happens next.
However, that's not to say there isn't angst or drama because there is plenty of both.
But for 9 chapters the development and story isn't bad. It really melted my heart.

It's off a bit from your traditional manga art (can't really place a finger around it but it might be the eyes), but I definitely enjoyed it.
Story: 10/10
Just insanely sweet. But the sweetness is sometimes interrupted by drama. But that only makes the sweetness more sweet.
Characters: 10/10
Both the mains are likable. For one of them there's a bit of development and realization. You do end up feeling bad for the best friend near the end.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Loved it.

Anyway, it looks like this is getting killed, so I'd like to present my own, quick, opinion.
Story: 7
It really wasn't too bad except the ending felt cowardly. I guess that is kind reasonable since is a fairy tale.
Art: 8
It was pretty decent. There really wasn't anything that ruined my enjoyment art wise.
Characters: 7
The main characters were definitely sweet, albeit a bit flat.

I have a soft spot for yuri, which may be influencing my opinion, but god the chemistry melted my heart.
Enjoyment: 10
God bless yuri.
Overall for yuri lovers: 9
If you like yuri, then watch it. It stands out as being one of the few legit yuri animes.
Overall for everyone else: 5 or 6
There's really nothing that stands out about this anime if you don't like yuri. It's like watching NTR while not liking NTR then complaining that the anime sucked. Besides the yuri, it's really nothing revolutionary and people expecting the anime to stand on its own will probably be disappointed.

A yuri with a surprisingly heavy message.
(The following is revealed in the first chapter so don't worry about spoilers.) The premise of the plot is that a disease has killed all of the men and only women remain, with humanity surviving only through artificial insemination. Surprisingly, society is still gender separated, with women being divided into "Adams" and "Eves." Adams are assigned male roles and Eves are assigned female roles.
The story follows Aoi, an Adam whose goal is to overturn the status quo and get revenge (what for is something you should read for yourself). He especially hates the etoiles, the elites of society.

Unexpectedly, at his time with the school, he develops a friendship with one of them. What this friendship grows and develops into is something you'll have to see for yourself. But of course, this story is tagged "yuri" for a reason.
Overall, I found the plot to be quite interesting. The obstacles they faced were not trivial. Despite hating the "antagonist" from the beginning, I eventually realized that no one was truly evil. Everyone had their own reasons and their own motivations. I enjoyed the conclusion as well. In many ways, it follows a "school yuri" format. In all significant aspects, however, it is definitely something different. I found the pacing to be very reasonable.
The art is fine, it did not distract me from the main story.
I appreciated the characters. The side characters were especially enjoyable.
It might be weird for some people as this story is almost a "yaoi relationship within a yuri relationship." However, for me, it is definitely yuri.
The themes of the story especially impacted me. Like how, in a world with only one sex, there still can be discrimination and limitations on who we can love. The backstories on some of the parents of the characters were especially sad. It's also a commentary on how not following social constructions as arbitrary as the ones in the story (dividing the female gender into two separate genders) can cause us to be left out and shunned. And, of course, similar to many other yuri mangas, this story is also a testament to the powers of love.
Anyway, sorry about this rambling and this non-traditional review. Despite being only 17 chapters, this manga ranks as one of my favorites.

I don't' write reviews often, but seeing there's only one by a person who doesn't really like GL/Yuri, I felt like I should the other side of the opinion.
Anyway, Cocytus is actually broken up into two stories, A and B.
Story A is about a popular girl who befriends a loner. It's two chapters, so the plot is not very elaborate. It's an archetypal schoolgirl lesbian story with a bit of bullying involved.
Story B is about two college friends. Girl 1 has feelings for Girl 2. Girl 2 knows this and actively tries to make Girl 1 confess for the first two

chapters. Overall, Girl 2 is very manipulative and almost evil, but both girls are aware of that. Girl 2 also knows that she can't reciprocate Girl 1's feelings, which makes it even crueler. There's really no conclusion to story B in Cocytus.
The art is fine, it's your typical art. I enjoyed both stories, A more than B, but they were both pretty nice. If you like Yuri, you'll like this. If you don't like Yuri, you won't like this.
Anyway, it's a pretty decent and short read. It's not a masterpiece, though, especially with 5 chapters divided between two unrelated stories.

My first review, so go easy on me.
Anyway, I've read 21 out of the "23" chapters. I don't know where the last 2 chapters are but I can't seem to find them. Regardless, the story ends pretty conclusively even at chapter 21, so I'm not too worried about that. So let's get down to it.
Yuri: 10
Before I say anything, I'd like talk about this story and its "yuri." One of the lead mains, "Carol," does have a male mode, but it's mostly used as a "supermode" more than anything else (not spoiling anything, it's revealed pretty early." Most importantly, all the s-e-x scenes are
...
when Carol is in her main, female mode. The documentation states that she assumes a "male mentality, whatever that means.
I'm a huge sucker for yuri and their love was a big part of the plot. If you don't like girl on girl, don't read this. One thing though, this manga is really lewd and makes no effort to hide it. It's not uncommon for both of the leads to "accidentally" have their clothing destroyed during battle.
Warning: the relationship between the leads does get sappy sometimes
Plot: 7
This is a mixed bag for me. You'll find a surprisingly large amount of action for a yuri manga. For people looking for the classic "coming of age, schoolgirl yuri" this is probably not for you. The plot revolves around two girls, one of them an android, saving the world from an evil AI. Not very original. There's plenty of death, killing, and violence. There's even rape.
For me, the plot can be divided into two halves. For the first half, Carol, the android, is pretty much invincible and is able to beat anything really. For the second half, after the introduction of that one antagonist, the narrative suddenly shifts to "it's hopeless no one can beat [antagonist]." But the brief moments (when the author actually does accomplish it) feeling of hopelessness and despair add to the quality of the story.
Anyway, sometimes in this story you just have to roll with it.
Art: 8
It's nothing remarkable, really. However, the art was not bad and it definitely did get in my way of enjoying this series. If you feel it's unsatisfactory, remember that it was created in the mid 90's.
Characters: 9
I very much appreciated the main leads, Carol and Shiori. In many ways, Shiori is your archetypal "damsel in distress." In other ways, she proves to be quite competent and actually saves the day in some cases. She's very emotionally strong and is the one that makes their relationship work.
Carol, as the beginning of the story, seems to be an instant win condition. She's very powerful in combat and there's no enemy that can beat her, except for that one [antagonist]. She is very capable and strong. She does have a few moments of weakness, however.
Honorable mentions: [Antagonist] was a really sick and vile person. He really was an enemy to take and he does some very vile things.
Enjoyment: 9
Even with its few shortcomings, I very much enjoyed Chirality. There were no boring moments for me and I was on the edge of my seat for some parts of the plot. The way the two main characters grew on each other really melted my heart.
Overall: 9
If you like yuri relationships and want a bit of a classic, this is a manga for you. It's not a short read but it's not too long either. It's always interesting and there's really no filler. For yuri, it realy is a classic because of how early it was created. Anyway, I hope you take the time to read it when you get the chance.
