I absolutely loved the first season of this series. I think it's one of the better Isekai animes, but this series felt very flat to me. I don't know if I was becoming delirious or if the characters seem to be getting dumber and slower by the episode. The indecision of all the characters led to a confusing plot unraveling. I felt like I wasted my time.
A lot of the characters that I loved during the beginning like Lutz and Ben-merchant and Otto became almost background characters in this season. Although I can't even tell you who became the supporting roles. I'm not even sure

It's unlike any sports anime you've watched before.
I'm on the edge of saying Blue Lock is revolutionary - in its concept, storytelling, and animation. There are a lot of factors at play within the story, but the plot itself is straightforward. Who can become the best striker to lead Japan's team in the World Cup? And there are a series of rigorous and cruel training/challenges. Each stage/challenge breaks down a soccer concept to its basics to force the players to evolve and surpass their previous selves. The pacing is both slow and fast in a way where the story itself doesn't progress fast, but the scenes ...

Alright. I came about this anime ignorant of the hype - I wasn’t aware of its popularity or story. But let me tell you right now, every episode was a full course meal.
In terms of art style and animation, I thought it was very exciting. There are some action sequence that took a more aesthetic approach and I don’t hate it, it looked very cool. The sound design was also good, very hip and happening, reminds me a little bit of jujutsu kaisen. The story is pretty interesting, it didn’t waste any time over-explaining an arc. I'm disappointed. The premise was promising at best. I've been binge watching a lot of fantasy/adventure anime lately so I was intrigued to find this one. The first episode was very interesting, especially with the introductions of many quirky characters, but that's about as good as it's going to get.
Although the main character was adorable and well-loved, everyone else was annoying. Their personalities and storylines fell flat - mostly revolving around 1/2 traits.
