Hi there! I see you're from South Africa like me :) We have a little club going for locals.
You have been invited to the officialSouth African Anime Club This is a club for locals to meet up and chat about anime, share thoughts and maybe where to buy anime locally etc. We look forward to meeting you!
*pokes your forum topic*
I hope that helped. You should try visiting the site on your blackberry. I often use animeboy.org myself for when I am out and about.
No problem! :DD
It's cool for the first time but it's a stressful course(my POV)..>_<
1st year we did 2D animation, learning the basic principles of animation. E.g Bouncing Ball, Squash and Stretch, Character Rotation, Lip-sync etc.. There are other modules such as drawing fundamentals which teaches you the proportion of a human figure and doing some environmental sketches using 3 point perspective and the Color Theory module, knowing where the light source is coming from....dark to light...warm and cool colors. There's also Storyboard and design fundamentals.
Now that i'm in Year 2, it focuses more on 3D. Be it modeling, lighting, texturing and rendering. It's lot of work though. Also, we have visual development module, it's simply character and environmental designs. To add on, we have Contemporary Film Making module, basically we do just what the title says. That's for now...and since we do not have exams so it's expected to have a lot of project works. D:
