"I'm Yuuma Azawa... And I... AM TERRIBLY SORRY!" -Yuuma Azawa

Dissolving Classroom (Youkai Kyoushitsu) has been the third manga by Junji Ito that I've read. I love how the story kept building up until the final chapter, making the story more suspenseful. The creepiness of the main two characters is something you would see in a horror movie. Also, at the back of the manga, there are two short stories: "The Return" and the "Children of the Earth". I didn't feel that they were necessary but they were interesting nonetheless.

Story: Dissolving Classroom has seven chapters in total. Five are the main story and the other two ... are some short stories. There were some twists and turns within the story that I was not expecting, especially how the "dissolving" happens. The story's creepiness and the art gave me chills at some points.

Art: In my opinion, the art style was perfect for this story and it grossed me out at some points. I mentioned this earlier but the creepiness of the main two characters was perfect and definitely matched their personalities. The cover art was one of the main reasons I read the manga.

Characters: The main characters, Yuuma Azawa (Older brother) & Chizumi Azawa (Younger sister), were very creepy and stood out from everyone else in the manga. Out of the two main characters, Chizumi creeped me out the most. Her actions and presence were very disturbing. The two main character's background stories were also very intriguing.

Overall, I enjoyed this manga. It stands out from a lot of other horror manga I have read. It wasn't the best manga I've ever read and it wasn't the worst manga I've ever read, so I decided to give it a good old 7.

Ito Junji no Neko Nikki: Yon & Mu is the first-ever manga I've read by Junji Ito. I enjoy his art style since you don't typically see that kind of style in other mangaka's works. I also enjoyed the story of having to deal with cats on an everyday basis since I own two cats myself.

For the characters, I'm gonna review the humans and then the cats. The humans, J-kun and A-ko, were fun to ... watch as they dealt with their two cats. I can't really relate to J-kun since he is just learning how to deal with cats but I've had cats ever since I was a baby. I definitely relate to A-ko better though since she already knows how to deal with cats. Now for the cats, Yon and Mu. Yon was way more creepier than Mu and I can see why J-kun was scared of him at first. On the other side, Mu was much more cuter. Mu also reminds me of one of my cats named Honey but Honey is vastly different from Mu since she is always angry, except for when she has just woken up.

My emotions throughout the manga varied a ton of times from being happy to being sad. I did cry like 2 times during it as well

Overall, I really enjoyed this manga and I want to read some of Junji Ito's other works. If you have some spare time to read a quick manga I recommend reading this one.
