Idealism, something that we must have in our life but in this anime its not as simple as that. The characters just bring the audience to have their mixed feelings, like we have to be support him or not, etc. Kira have a glorious purpose but he just get eaten by his idealism and his dream, L is smart but idealism of his ideas just make him not achieve his goals. If my friends asks about what anime that they must watch in their first time, i will recommend this anime. FMAB is so unique, the main characters, the plot, the conflict was so different. The story is delivered well, its not like "MC want to get stronger and train, and then beat the main villain" likewise but like he get the experienced with meet another alchemist, had a good/bad experience from them, then side characters have a conflict that aligned with conflict from MC itself. Its a new experience if you wanna watch anime and i think its 90s or 00s style of anime, so
