I have noticed that many of the VVV reviews have been largely negative but I feel that this show deserve more credit.
The story is possibly the weakest point of the whole show-not to say that its bad. As a 12 episode show the writer don't have long to introduce the characters and the plot. There are two or three episodes which don't tie directly into the main plot and though the episodes are good, the episodes would have likely been better used in addressing the main story which feels like it needs one or two more episodes to finish properly.
The character backgrounds are interesting but ... are not fully explored which is disappointing as it could have helped a lot with understanding the main plot. The show's ending left a lot to be desired for. It feels as if it is only part one of a series but there is no second season to VVV.
The art is beautifully done and though it is stating to look out of date it still is quite beautiful The character design is very sleek and the viewer doesn't get the sense of "exaggeration" from the characters. Mind you that that doesn't mean that the series isn't anime like-its an artistic take on anime which allowed me to pay attention more on the story than the characters appearances staring at disturbingly big chests or hair that looks more heavy than the character's head.
Characters were a mix of good and bad but mostly good. The humans in the show have very unique personalities from one another and play off each other well. The major problem are the viillians (viruses for the most part). They have a feeling for the most part of the standard evil character. It would have been nice to have had less predictable villians but they still did their evil jobs very well.
I finished this series in a couple of days. If you want a short 12 episode series to watch and you like action I think you will find this series enjoyable. Try not to think to deep into the show-just watch and see how it is played out.

This series in it self similar to a rideback-easy to get on, hard to control, powerful and hard to get off.
I was very excited when I first started to watch this series because the art looked amazing and I had heard good things about the series and in many ways Rideback met my expectations.
Story-6
This is where the series fails to satisfy. The series is only 12 episodes and the series needed more like 24 episodes to tell its story properly. I suspect that the story's short comes were a result of the anime directors blunders and not the person who wrote the manga since ... the manga was a fair length. The viewer spends the first few episodes being introduced to the main characters, ridebacks and the wonderful society which the people seem to like in. A few hints of the main story are put in but when the main story finally begins it feels rushed. You haven't seen enough of the villians to hate them properly and don't know enough about the past to really care about the revolutionaries or the government. This in part is why the main story feels separate from the main character's story.
Art-10
Possibly the thing I love most about this series is the amazing character design. It is hard to describe what makes the art so unique but I think it has to do with the realistic shape of the body, imperfect hair an beautiful eyes. In addition to the wonderful character design the landscape and ridebacks have a sleek look to then though I do admit that sometimes the machines don't seem to fit with the lush world which they inhabit.
Sound-10
I thought the soundtrack to the series suited it well. I wouldn't say that it was not without flaw but the flaws were just a question of the level of drama it was able to convey. The opening and ending songs are suited to the adventure, peaceful and violent natures of the show which is wonderful to see.
Characters-I will be honest and say that I felt disconnected from most of the characters by the end of the series. The characters in the beginning of the series were very clear and well formulated however near the end it feels that the rationalization is no longer clear. In add there were characters that the viewer never gets to know which leads to a "what the heck" moment at the end of the series that leaves the viewer dumbfounded. I found the characters overall like able but they could be improved if the series was longer.

I was excited to watch each episode to see what happened next however, near the end of the series I started to lose interest because it was clear that there was no way that the series could have a solid conclusion just because of all the lose ends which had yet to be addressed.

The series is a fine, quick series to watch but it isn't a series that you will likely be re-watching. I have never read the manga however I think I might pick it up only to see the level of missing information in the anime with that knowledge I suspect that many of the gaps that I had were because of the rush nature of the series. If you are a big fan of storylines this show isn't for you but if you can sit through the first episode I recommend at least finishing the series.

I'm likely one of the few people in the world that own all of the Kiseki and when I saw their were no reviews for Kieseki I decided to write my own.
To start off with I would like to say DO NOT buy Kiseki unless you are familiar with Clamp's work. Why? Because the Kiseki series was made for fans of Clamp-not people that having read all there works (I know I haven't) but for people that have a fondness for Clamp's characters, art and story lines. In addition, Kiseki doesn't cover a large portion of Kobato., xxxHolic,Tsubasa and Legal Drug and has no mention ... of Gate 7 because Kiseki was released before its publication. Most of the grading rule brick which myanimelists provide does not work for this series so I will be, to an extent breaking away from the standard format.
Story-4
Each book addresses one or more of Clamp's numerous series. Each comes with a fair amount of summary of the stories. Again, this is only summary material to help you to understand the premise of the series if you are not familiar with the series. Each book comes with a mini comic made especially for kiseki. They are nothing special-just gag comics for the most part but it is a nice touch of originality in comparison to most of the book which is a compilation of work over the years. Since there really isn't a concentration on storyline in Kiseki I gave it a harsher grade than the other catagories.
Art-9
Clamp makes beautiful art and is able to vary the art style greatly from series to series (though this is largely a result to the amount of time between the series) the only reason I don't give the art a 10 is because some of the older art has a rough feel to it-especially RG Veda's art. This is not to say the art isn't good but it could have been better. Each picture comes with a caption describing the history of the art piece which is wonderful to see.
Character-7
I love the diversity of characters in Clamp's stories so the character profiles are a wonderful touch in the book. However, the gag comics at the end seem to lack the flair of character personalities. I am not sure if I should grade the comics or the profiles so I decided to try and split the score.
Enjoyment: Along with the art, profiles, and summaries each book has an interview with Clamp and someone Clamp has worked with like a manga editor, anime producer, or chess piece designer. This is very entertaining to say the least. The book also comes with a list of products relating to the featured serie(s) which is wonderful to look at.
Overall-9
Kiseki is one of those series that you read over an expanse of time. It gives a lot of eye candy and food for thought but doesn't give off the air that you must have all 12 books. The chess pieces are a nice touch and are beautifully made. I recommend finding a kiseki book of a series you like or a series you are interested in from Clamp and read.

When I first started the series I had just finished the Law of Ueki; a completely different so I wasn't prepared for such a dark series but even though it was dark it wasn't bad.

Story: Basically the majority of the series is made up of mini episodes only lasting one or sometimes two chapters alot of the stories are eary with cases of abuse or love that is not going well. You would hope these people with there nightmares would have a happy ending but that doesn't nessicarily happen. This is disturbing but also thrilling; you can't be sure what will happen. There is one ... story that is continuous throughout the series which is interesting but is only mentioned once in a while.

Art: I love the art style but it is lacking in definness. Alot of the characters look exactly like each other. This can make the story confusing. Also, there are alot of grewsome senes but they are handled well as the art is distorted in these senes.

Characters: The caracters are strong not because of there individuality (which is lacking in supporting characters) but in potraying human nature. The characters are made to show the good and bad in people which is very affective. The main characters are well defined in there individualality but since the supporting characters can be lacking in this often it feels that the main characters are forced to act the same.

Enjoyment: I considered a couple of times to stop this series, atleast for a while since it was very disturding but that was also what I really liked about the series. I could almost never guess the true meaning and conclusions of dreams and, horrible or not it keptme interested.

Overall: I highly enjoyed this series and found it quite original in concept and the way the stories would progressed. If you are squermished or only like series that are happy endings you should skip this series.
