Story: The plot is strange and fast! The first main couple gets together in just a few pages. And the second fall in love over something ... stupid. Personally I'm not a believer in 'love at first sight'. But if you are maybe you'll appreciate the story more than I do.
Basically this manga's really like a GAG. It's a oneshot plot-line and is best read when you just want to pass the time with a simple romantic tale.

I had high hopes for this anime, but they were dashed after only two episodes. The plot just ... is frankly very pathetic. The characters and artwork (big eyes creep me out) are pretty lame and overall you might get a few chuckles. But other than that the series doesn't hold much enjoyment.

The series is like your typical kids show. There are subtle differences, but not much. If you like cute and tough characters and shows like Digimon and Pokemon, then you should feel right at home with Bakugan.
I do warn you, however, the english cast is sometimes dreadful.

I decided to edit my previous review and disregard my bias towards this manga. First of all, the story is original in small ways (such as the female lead unable to smile correctly) but is still enjoyable like other model based manga's. The characters, as the series goes on, are very much like teenagers trying to survive in the fierce entertainment light. And Fukuyama-sensei manages to combine both maturity and innocence in each of them. The artwork is very appealing, nothing skwed or makes you want to give up.
Overall, It's fun, sweet and generally a good read. |
