This is one of those series I didn't want to end, and I do not say that lightly. The characters are interesting and original, and it is refreshing to see a male protagonist who can be close to a girl and not act like it is a horrifying experience.
But above all this series has style. The art is great, and while there is a lot of dialogue, when the action does kick off it look awesome. Plus the dialogue is not all bad and I can honestly say I was never bored, despite each episode being 40 minutes.

I wish someone could tell me why most reviews I read on this site are plot summaries and not reviews.
The setting and art of this film were great. The directing was fairly interesting as well. The story however was nearly non-existant, and there was no real character build-up. Overall, not alot going on in this movie, but it was well drawn. If you want to see a better android-human conflict story, watch the Animatrix.

I think there should be a warning in the description of this anime: the main theme here is males crossdressing as females. You'd think they could do more with the story, a demon butler, but instead they use every chance to show the male characters wearing dresses.
I've seen over 60 series and this will be the first I wont be able to watch all the way through. And I've written this, my first review, so that others may be warned. Crossdressing/homosexual males have been used in limited ways in other series for comedy, but this is the first mainstream anime ... |
