This is the worst anime I have seen to date. The voice acting is horrible. The annoyingly bad celtic accents are unbearable. The story is never developed, the pacing is inconsistent,and the characters are never developed.
The anime starts out with an interesting story arc, but by the end of the second episode that is completely blown. This one episode should have been four. In any art medium, a good piece will challenge the viewer's psyche; and understanding of himself or the world; and this is what Blood + accomplishes. It is anything but your run of the mill vampire story. It is a historical story gift wrapped in blood and the paranormal; weaved together in ways that only the highest art can accomplish.
Blood+ opens with scenes from the killing fields of Vietnam. Brutal and nightmarish, the tragic scene unfolds. When one sees such carnage one can only ask himself what seperates "man" from "beast". Blood + wants the viewer to become trapped within Saya's world, to ...

I stumbled across this anime as I was browsing the top anime list on this site. Having not seen this anime before, I checked out the the brief description and decided to pass it up.
I put this anime off for quite awhile, as I wasn't terribly excited about the story. I assumed this would be a rather typical contrived romance about a "rock star".
