I would have to recommend reading the manga FIRST, because they didn't explain the "animal spirits" part, so you're left to guess if you haven't read the manga-- so I gave it a 7.
Other than that the animation is great and the story it follows is exactly the same as the manga.
I'm not saying this is the best anime you will ever watch. But if you read the manga, or you like yaoi, you will find it very enjoyable. I gave it a 10 for enjoyment because I really had fallen for the manga and the anime was just another animated version that you will
