This show commits the worse crime a series can commit. It is boring. This is really nothing more than ball joke after ball joke, not even well told. Its disgusting, perverted, and really, really uninteresting.
The only interesting part for me was the villain ED (a not so subtle reference to erectile dysfunction), who loses both of his testicles thanks to the actions of the main character. In episode 4 we see just how this affects his personal life, him struggling with this issue and wondering how he can tell people, especially his fiancee. While this would normally be a run-of-the-mill anime (with more than a few similarities to Bleach), there is one thing that really pushes this anime to greatness. Papillon. He is one of the most interesting villains I have ever seen, and one of my personal favourite anime characters. He's a supervillain that's so sick he could cough up a lung any second while making his evil diabolical speeches. He is absolutely fantastic.
Seriously, it is worth seeing this whole series JUST for him. Take him away, and you still got a pretty decent shonen battle anime.

There are many animes that I dislike, but there are few animes that I can truly say that I hate. This is the prime example of that.
An anime can be boring, or have bland characters, and that's fine. I'll dislike the anime, but whatever. This anime, however, had an excellent start. The main character is interesting to see just how insane he is, and he's suddenly pushed into this dark and dangerous world filled with gruesome murders. He worked perfectly with this premise, because he would actually try to escape into his own insanity simply for comfort and that was really interesting to watch. We ... |
