I doubt it will turn out like that, if it does it would ruin the whole show.
I like SAO, but only the first half of each season, and I also like Log Horizon but I feel as if they took that approach with DanMachi it would ruin it, it has the same 'feeling' but more enjoyable in certain ways.
RPG game like with a twist which has made it unique and enjoyable, implementing the level-up and such.
Sometimes the first 5 minutes are enough to tell if you're going to be hooked or not. As a fan of SAO (season 1), I knew I would not be getting any sleep tonight. Since the series is still airing, I'll update this review when it finishes. But the series is a fantastic spin on the MMORPG anime genre. If you enjoyed SAO, you'll find this to be a refreshing and (arguably) better series
Just going to post some thoughts on this review for DanMachi;
-I think you are completely right about the opening of a series, the first several minutes dictate whether it will be worth watching more/eager to watch it or kill the enjoyment for you, the first episode should be one of the most exciting, which this show done explicably well.
-They haven't gone for the orthodox route with the type of theme (similar to RPG) like Sword Art Online and Log Horizon along with .Hack, they aren't "trapped" they actually live their which made a huge difference to me and my perspective.
That's what I thought when I made my first review, I'm like, "I don't think anyone would want to respond & read my reviews." And now more then 100 people have read my reviews. It really surprises me that many people enjoy me & my writing skills.
Just take inspiration from other reviewers, that's what I did. I toke inspiration from Kevin Nyaa, ShadowACS, & JesuOtaku from YouTube. They're awesome reviewers & you should check them out if you haven't already.
Great Spice & Wolf review! It was short, sweet, & to the point. You definitely did better then my first few reviews. I loved when you said,
"Holo is a character that you won't find in any other series and makes this series a masterpiece. Words cannot describe how brilliant her character development is. The interactions and progression of her feelings are on a different level."
I totally agree, Holo is my favorite anime character so far. She isn't just a cardboard cutout of a typical anime girl, she's a lot more then that. She has desires, fears, regrets, passion, etc.
She added a lot to show & what made Spice & Wolf extra great. Holo is just an overall great character! Overall, I enjoyed reading your Spice & Wolf review & hope to see more reviews from you in the future!
