I prefer manga to anime, and especially enjoy girly-girly stories (with a special exception for One Piece, which is pretty perfect). Because I'm an old lady, I'm more into Josei stuff than Shoujo. I really dislike the term "moe" but love the sound-effect "kyuuun" and enjoy characters in glasses. Because I grew up in a world before anime was on the internet I'm well grounded in the classics. My first anime was Sailor Moon when it was still on public TV and before it made it's way on to Toonami. Also, rather embarrassingly, I am still holding a torch for Daisuke from the second season of Digimon.
Hmm, and I wish there was a list for J-dorama because I've seen more of that than anime by far.

Will reply proper to your recent post, but i'm watching something pretty cool right now and think you should too. Its a change a pace- its taiwanese "Summer's Desire", its like watching a manhua- twisted and deep with loads of romance and cute moments. Ok i know its taiwanese and right now you're doing korea, but give this one a go, normally tai isn't my thing but its the hot stuff being wtached by loads of people, curently airing around 9 episod so far. Oh heres a picy which might help :
Oh and the way they look and speak grows on you afterwards, they become hot as the episodes progress XD Just making sure you don't miss anything ^^ xxx

Goong manhua is awesome! My fav- so glad you know about it too now. Shin looks way hot in the manhua than the drama. I love all the teasing they do in it, making them look old and all. I caugght up with it recently too. Only if they could find a way of adding all the humour of the manhua into the drama. You heard of teh other drama Goong S? its different to this Goong but wondering if its any good. Aaah but you don't wanna cheat on jap :) Very understandable, but the dramas koreans produce are so dramtic u can't help but get addicted and end up weeping! I love that stuff XD But i won't recom any more korean dramas to you though, maybe after you've sussed out jap to the max! You doing a course on it or self-study?

I just started reading Kimi ni Todoke, and compared to the first episode of the anime - I think I like the latter more. I'm still going to continue both, however.
There's so much stuff for me to read the first time, I don't have the patient to read stuff twice unless it's to remember things ;-; I am planning on reading Monster and Death Note again...
