I think the anime left at the beginning of the fight eh?
Okay, the fight was actually over in the time it takes for a sword to fall to the ground. [http://i.imgur.com/RTffM9z.jpg] <- I made a kind of collage from the manga. Read from left to right.
Fujiki won. (He used a trick. He threw the sword at Iku and Irako got distracted. He wouldn't have won otherwise)
Seeing Irako die, Iku kills herself.
But then Fujiki was commanded to cut off Irako's head. So, the thing Fujiki cherished most of all was the Samurai code/spirit, and doing what he was ordered by the king (?) would go against everything he believed in. But he loved Mie more, so he chose to cut off Irako's head.
Seeing this, Mie was devastated [as Fujiki did something that Mie could never forgive and she realized that she didn't love Fujiki] and killed herself because the man she loved was destroyed in her eyes. [by surrendering his beliefs]

Either Fujiki went insane or he killed himself.

Now that I'm writing this, I realize I make it sound really bad. It was better/more intense when I was reading the manga. Still, the general story is like that. I liked the ending.

Then Shigurui seems like a must-have for my collection. And they didn't show the final fight in the anime? Do you want me to tell you? The ending, for me, was one of the best parts of Shigurui.
And the second season is almost done downloading :3 Can't wait :D

By the way, Shigurui anime ta kemon lagse? I only read the manga so I was thinking of keeping it in collection. How did you like the ending?
Ar Sengoku Basara er season 1 shes korsi and Date Masamune is just *_* Too epic for words.
