Plot overview: Ariadne dies a horrific death after betraying her kingdom in the name of her husband, Cesare de Como. path to mending the future, but these wrenches never usually last long or see lasting consequences. Prepare to see many victories at her hand. Regardless, the worldbuilding is very interesting with a more Spanish royalty inspired setting, but the manhwa would work excellently as a K-drama soap show with how intensely dramatic it is. The relationships are interesting and seem somewhat realistic to a period drama's royal lifestyle of promised marriages and religious ties, though it is straightforward who will have Ariadne's favor in the end with no true second male lead (who isn't insufferable).
TLDR; Read for a smart female lead in Ariadne who overcomes obstacles like a professional hurdling champion, and read it like a soap opera show for the best attitude toward this dramatic work. Also Arabella is a sweet younger sister and deserves the world!!!!!

Plot overview: a young woman ends up in the body of Meldenique, a villainess from a story in which she 1) gets cheated on and 2) dies a horribly sad death with no help from her family. This new Meldenique decides to take matters into her own hands to 1) break the emotionless engagement and 2) legally separate from her family's clutches. All she has to do is hone some magic abilities and figure out how to run her cute children's shop, easy!
Overall score: 9/10; Meldenique's story is so cute and has an air of revenge that isn't too over-the-top. Her knowledge of the 'plot'

around her offers her a leg up above her unfaithful fiancé and her neglectful family, who both seem to not want to take their claws out of her. Where the story really shines is in the relationships she crafts with the children around her. Her passion truly lives with the shop she builds for herself, and even with all the hot (HOT) men around her who seem intrigued by her, she genuinely pushes to make a simple store where children can come and have fun. The manhwa has a cute art style and Meldenique herself is gorgeous -- as are the male leads (ISAAC ARE YOU SINGLE) -- and the child characters all have their own unique storylines and connections with Mel as she hones her craft. So far, the plot has built a little slowly, but she comes across barriers here and there on her way to a life without turmoil.
TLDR; Mel is basically a Ms. Frizzle to a bunch of kids who are fully enchanted by her, deservedly so. ISAAC HIT ME UP!!!! ISAAC ARE YOU SINGLE HIT ME UP BOO XOXO

Plot overview: This isekai manwha sees a young girl from Korea take over the body of a villainess named Deborah who lives in a reverse-harem world intended for another girl. She realizes just how rich her family is and decides to live Deborah's life as freely as possible while steering clear of drama... but of course, it finds her nonetheless as she steers the plot in a much different direction than the original story.
Overall score: 8/10; A very good plot that allows the transmigrator to feel repercussions of the villainess's past choices -- while not entirely letting go of her body's past and villainess-like perks.

For one, Deborah has a mean case of b*tch-face, which gives her a solid advantage in intimidation. But she still is noticeably more mellow than she used to be, which allows her to stand up for herself and make genuine connections with others, unlike the prior Deborah. There's a strong theme in this story toward Deborah overcoming her previous life's doormat tendencies, which makes for an interesting dichotomy to her new body's ability to get what she wants instead of constantly doing things for others. I also personally think Deborah is hilarious in her deadpan reactions to many things around her (once again, she's more mellow than the villainess prior), and she has a ton of comedic moments with the male lead. Besides a couple of personal qualms with the plot and characterization, I am looking forward to seeing how Deborah takes over this world with her knockoff Starbucks franchising.
TLDR (slight spoilers); another transmigration story, but this time she's got an Engineering degree, a knack for tax evasion, and a love interest whose double life makes me laugh because he's trying SO HARD to get her attention fixated on his real persona and she instead flirts more outright with his hidden persona. Girl it's the same man!!

Plot summary: Pereshati, murdered by her family and lover, returns to her past-self's body before her murder and makes to set things right. She meets the Lapileon family, one with an old, rich bloodline -- old, rich, toxic, and cursed. And she marries its Duke, Therdeo... at least for a year, until she's safe.
Overall rating: 8/10; so far, this story makes for a great drama/thriller with lots of mystery and tension. rather sluggishly for what's out so far. The art is simple and clean, with Pereshati's pink hair a standout helping to represent her as soft and reserved compared to many of the other characters. At times, Pereshati herself can come off as a bit dry; if you choose to view this as a sort of shyness or reserved disposition, she becomes somebody to easily root for. Otherwise, my personal like for this webtoon comes from its clear intent to build a family -- so a strong push in the 'found family' category for this one. It explores much of each of the Lapileon family members and Pereshati's personal relationship with each of them from strangers to true family members, which I am excited to see turn to obsession as the title suggests.
TLDR; drama dialed to 11 as Pereshati (accidentally) forges a new family from the ashes of her old one. If you don't like Celphius Lapileon, get out of here!!! He's just a sweet sweet child!!!!!

Plot summary: Dahlia Pesteros is a young girl who has suddenly remembered her past life -- a woman who knows that the world Dahlia lives in is an otome game. is extremely sweet and charms those around her effortlessly -- much so that any hinted tension that would have existed between her and the other main characters is usually almost immediately erased. There are, of course, many tense and dramatic moments and fights, though none have yet to follow through with long-term consequences in the plot. As far as the characters go, I thought the story was going to be pretty cliché with the words 'obsessed with me' in the title; turns out, this has an actual plot device meaning and literally means the characters have a logical -- and magical -- reason to form an attachment with her. The beginning has held up so far as my favorite part of the story, in which she has not established herself yet as a trusted figure and cannot figure out how to connect with her indifferent brother, Hikan. I am waiting for more of this series to see where it goes further, but so far I'm optimistic.
TLDR; with the power of cuteness (and love) Dahlia can save those around her, and with the power of foresight into how the story will go, she intends on saving as many people as possible. She's just very, very, very good at it!

very serious (yet sometimes silly) love story between Peony and Richt. At first, Richt clearly does not respect Peony or her attempts at gaining his favor. Peony takes this in stride most of the time -- which leads to her detriment more often than not. The definition of a trooper, to a fault. Peony is an extremely sweet girl, but she at times comes off as far too perfectly kind. Many hardships she faces are environmental due to the princess being immunocompromised or due to external factors such as general war-time shenanigans. However, the plot is great with respect to keeping you on your toes in romance-novel-esque drama.
TLDR; sweet-as-a-cinnamon-bun Peony and stone-faced-as-Mount-Rushmore Richt navigate and negotiate a romance with each other. Prepare for a cute and angsty drama that builds a relationship so strong that it permeates off the screen.

Plot summary: Ham Dan-i awakens in a seemingly parallel universe -- one where she is best friends with a gorgeous main character Ban Yeoreong and several 'Kings' of her 'new' high school who all live strangely idyllic lives. She realizes she is in a world akin to an Internet Novel type story, and must choose whether she truly accepts this new life and being a "main character".

The theme of displacement is ever present with Dan-i remaining logical and removed from a lot of the drama that occurs in this world, solely because she is aware that it is not realistic with respect to the world she grew up in. And although she keeps emotionally distant at first, the plot pushes her to connect to her new Gorgeous(TM) classmates and creates tension in her want -- and resistance -- in connecting with them. As far as the romance plotline is concerned (as this is also technically a reverse harem), expect a very slow burn and more of a slice-of-life fluffy-friendship sort of story.
TLDR; an aloof girl mixes with a world of characters that very much want to care about her, and are waiting for her to extend her hand. Watch along as she navigates what it means to look past the cover of a book she never read.

Plot summary: A young woman from modern day Korea finds herself in the body of Ripley Liverpool, a side character of a romance novel. Though she intends to remain on the sidelines, she ends up almost immediately sleeping with Duke Zeronis. Oops!
Overall score: 8/10; This story is hilarious. Definitely a comedy/romance story. Ripley's reactions and expressions are hilarious, and she brings a unique facet of comedy to a world that was clearly meant for serious romance. Plot summary: An isekai story about a young girl transported into the body of video game villainess Penelope Eckart. Knowing the game mechanics, but not knowing the ending, Penelope must play the Otome game with the punishment of losing being death.
Overall score: 10/10. This score admittedly has quite a bit of personal bias, but this isekai has the perfect 'isekai package' to it for me, especially compared to other isekai stories out there. With the world acting as a video game and each main male lead having a percentage counter above his head to show their affection toward Penelope, it ends up a great example

of how an isekai may realistically be handled: you are not from this world and face real consequences (death) should you not play the world's game, and so you treat the characters with the intent to win. There are definitely moments that are not Penelope's brightest (i.e. her acting rather brash or scary at times), but even though she sees the world through a 3D lens now, she still sees the characters as mere percentage points. As such, she ends up treating some of the male leads as pawns in order to win the game. This is called a character flaw. Characters need flaws. Regardless, the story does excellently with having Penelope gain some introspection on her body's past -- she never lived Penelope's life, but must brunt the force of her prior actions through scorn and disappointment from others all the same, which makes for a very interesting flavor of angst.
TLDR; an isekai treated well, with a female lead who knows what game she's gotten into. Read for angst, gorgeous art, literal quest windows, and an interesting reverse harem showcase.

Plot summary: Kang Jiwon is sent back into her past self's body after discovering her husband cheating on her with her best friend. She aims to change the trajectory of this new timeline by orchestrating their union early this time.
Overall score: 7/10; The idea is interesting and the art is good, but the characters sometimes fall too deeply within their own tropes to be believable. could stand to be around Sumin for two seconds believably. MAJOR spoilers here to exemplify: Sumin eventually fakes a pregnancy with Jiwon's fiance which, although just broken off, is extremely suspicious and traitorous to their friendship. Talk about breaking girl code!! Jiwon is understandably trying to build the most effective revenge of having her ex-fiance and Sumin marry, but I wouldn't even look at Sumin again if she tried the pregnancy route like that, revenge or not. Some of the other characters also have some strange characterizations and moments that seem like they are making unrealistic decisions, but in the end, the revenge is indeed well sculpted and the story culminates into a justified whooping for the antagonists.
TLDR; the revenge of a scorned wife unfolds well, but can get somewhat lost in how insufferable the antagonists are. For what the story does well in getting justice for the protagonist, it loses a bit more in realism (aside from the whole 'back in time' thing, of course).
