I must say I was surprised to see an Isekai with such a high rating when I had never heard of it before so I decided to give it a go. I did enjoy it quite a bit, rating it as a 7, and yet I have some mixed feelings about this one.
First I think it's important to understand that this is indeed a parody, but perhaps not as one would expect. This anime is categorized as a Comedy, but I don't think I laughed a single time while watching. The anime takes the most cliche elements on purpose and make a story out of

it. What comes out of it are some of the most cringe lines and moments in anime I have ever seen. If it suits your humor then perhaps you will enjoy it but I didn't find it funny at all.
Another point that I didn't enjoy is the misunderstandings. I'm generally not a fan of misunderstandings between characters in anime but it can be funny when it's well done. When it's badly done however and runs for too long, it just becomes painful to watch, which is exactly the case in this anime. A misunderstanding starts in episode 2 between the main character and the support characters. I would have been ok with it if it lasted for a few episodes. Except it doesn't, it runs from episode 2 to the last episode without ever being resolved. Perhaps the reason is explained in the LN, but I fail to understand why the author decided to write a brainless idiot as a MC given the number of opportunities and hints he had to understand.
The main reason I decided to rate this anime as a 7 despite those problems is simple: the action. This anime has some really great fighting scenes that I enjoyed watching. I'm also a sucker for OP MC, which is definitely the case in this anime so I would probably recommend you give this anime a go if you enjoy it as well.
I would also like to give a special mention to the Opening which I really loved.
TLDR ~ Not funny, with some annoying/cringe moments but some really good fighting scenes and an OP MC. Fire Opening as well!

Blue Lock is quite an interesting anime, quite different from typical sports anime.
I think that one thing which is important to understand in order not to be disappointed is that this anime isn't really about football. What I mean by that is that if you are here to see depictions of football matches in anime, whether it is realistic or not, you won't find it here. It's probably the main reason why some of the top reviews didn't like the anime, but it should have been obvious from the premise.

other positions in the anime, even if you think football in real life is different. I would even say the reasoning explained in the anime is pretty convincing: Japanese people tend to prioritize the team before themselves and don't deal well with unexpected situations because everything is well organized. I have no idea if this is true for the actual Japanese team and I don't know much about football, but the situation in the anime is clear: Japan is missing a striker and this Blue Lock Project is here to create one.
Another interesting part in this anime is that it doesn't follow the usual setting where the main characters are a school club trying to win the national tournament.
Now the negatives, because the anime isn't perfect. The characters are rather shallow, and you'll only learn more about a handful so if you're here for character development it's probably not for you. The anime also often focuses on a single character so the field view is often narrow even during the plays. There are also a lot of monologues during the actions which can be annoying. The animation is pretty good, although the few bird's-eye views that are used are pretty bad.
Overall I really recommend the anime whether you're a football fan or not, 9/10.

So before starting, I have to mention that I have finished the novel from which this anime is from pretty recently. The story itself is pretty long, which explains why this 1st season is relatively slow-paced.
The story follows Xue Ying, the young lord of a territory after his mother and father has been kidnapped, as well as his attempt to deliver them.
Overall I would say the anime is pretty good. The art is not the best I have seen in donghua by any means, but it's still solid.
The sound itself isn't amazing either, although I really enjoyed the OP.

and the story is enjoyable.
There are a few problems however. First, the anime skips a lot of background information and explanations which makes the first few episodes really hard to understand. For anyone interested in the novel, the MC actually doesn't unlock his Qi until he is 14-15 years old while his body is abnormaly strong. He later unlocks his Bloodline which is when he starts developping Qi. And since his body is already so strong, he progresses really rapidly.
The second thing, is that Producers really enjoy changing story elements to make them doesn't make sense. It wasn't as bad as in Swallowed star, but I'm afraid of what will happen later. The final enemy at the end is not a demon, but a magical beast which is an important distinction to make because he doesn't come from the abyss. He also wasn't changed by the Sorcerer god blood, but by someone from the Sorcerer Palace. Anyway those are relatively minor, but I'm afraid it's the start of things that absolutely won't make sense as we go into the story.

I guess that one is not from me. Tales of Demon and Gods is a rather famous webnovel (which I've read a huge part of) which was later adapted into a manhwa and a donghua.
I think TDG is pretty overrated and isn't as good as over well known webnovels.
I've also read the manhwa which I found rather average, but I decided to give the anime a try.
Unfortunately right of the bat I have several problems with the anime and here is why:
1) 7 minutes per episodes. I just hate that format, a good episode length is between 18-25 minutes and nothing happens in 7 minutes
...
but that's just my personnal taste.
2) The animation is really badly done. I didn't think the art was especially good in the manhwa but they decided to animate it and it somehow makes it way worse.
3) Bad subtitles. i guess that one isn't the anime itself but even sites I would recommend have bad subtitles, and not in sync with the actual story.
Overall I may give it a new try in the future but I don't recommend this one. 4/10

Welcome to Xingchen Bian season 3 ! If you painfully survived season 2 and you're wondering if you should continue then congrats because it gets better.
This season and the next one are a lot more packed with action than the previous one. A lot of antagonist are introduced, many of them with little importance which can be a problem for some. But what I really like about this season is that you truly start to realize how big the world is and how minor the last season was.
The fighting itself is pretty good, a lot better than last season.

details cuz that would be spoilers but one minor warning: Some people felt that the power-ups of Qin Yu seemed more forced than in the 1st season and didn't feel like it rewarded hard work. You may feel the same thing in this season, but there are 2 reasons for that. The first is that Qin Yu has been following an already existing technique while he had to do it by himself in season 1. Plus the start of cultivation is a lot harder when you come from a mortal kingdom with zero knowledge. Qin yu has been eating jin dan of beats he killed which helps a lot.
The second reason in this season specifically is time skip. It might be hard to follow if you're unfamiliar with cultivation stories but the lifespan of cultivators is a lot. I think Qin Yu is Late Yuanying at the start of the season (Mortal->Xiantian->Jindan->Yuanying) which means his lifespan is in the thousand years. 5s in the anime might be equivalent to several years.
TLDR ~ It gets a lot better, you should give it a try. I binge watched everything in a day and enjoyed it a lot. 10/10

Xingchen Bian: Yu Li Cang Hai is the seacond season of Stellar Transformation and follows the story of the novel by the same name.
I feel like the other reviews are pretty harsh but I can understand why.
The story first concludes the 1st season (don't ask me why they didn't put the first episodes in the 1st season, they should have) and then takes place in the sea.
The whole season is basically Qin Yu really starting his cultivation, which will be the main objective in the rest of the story. This season is definitely one of my least liked part of the story but it's still

enjoyable to watch. The fighting in this one is pretty average with a lot of flashy moves. I must admit I was impressed with how they represented the demon beasts in the sea, they are really well made.
I'm just going to adress a few critics in other reviews:
- they just sometimes remember how to swim. Well, I can see your point but the characters can all fly, which means they can easily move in the water without swimming.
- All the character are one dimensional and have no development: That's true for almost all the characters. Some of them will have a huge impact on the rest of the story and it's pretty easy to see which ones.
- It feels like Qin Yu is getting stronger really easily, instantly powering up. Well that's because of 2 factors. First is, he is now following a technique which has been explained to him which makes it a lot easier. Secondly, he is taking the faster path, getting stronger by killing others. The reason why he is able to fight and beat people with higher cultivations is mainly because of his technique. And yes, it's pretty hard to follow the cultivations levels of everyone.
Overall, I would give this a 8/10. Not the best part of the story but I recommend continuing because it does get better.

This anime is an adaptation of the novel "Stellar Transformation" by I Eat Tomatoes. And contrary to Swallowed star which doesn't follow the story, this one actually does.
This novel is one of the traditional xianxia story, where the main objective of the MC in most of the novel will be to attain a higher cultivation and attain immortality. I'm mentionning it here because of another review but no, the story still has a purpose after the 1st season. Now for this season in particular. The plot mainly takes place in the Qin Empire and will follow the childhood of Qin Yu until he becomes a young man. It is mainly focused on him and his family and serves as an introduction to the story. The story itself is great, quite emotionnal. The fighting isn't the best i have seen but still great overall.
I would give this story a good 9/10

Quite simply my favorite music anime and one of my favorite overall.
The plot is relatively common, with a club in a very bad state at the start of the story, evetually getting better and working towards winning tournaments. the most original part is the club itself, the "koto" which I had never heard of before watchign the anime.
I find it hard to explain why I love this anime so much, except how well done it is. Every character has some progression, the love story is relatively well made.
Contrary to some reviews might say, the story itself is rather believable without any bullshit characters

I have finished both seasons, and I hope there will be a third.

I managed to finish season 1 after some struggles because I remembered the novel well. There were a lot of changes even if the events and the characters stayed more of less the same, but it still bothered me quite a lot. Now here we are at season 2. And right at the beginning, dropped at episode 3. I can power through some nonsense modifications but there is a limit. They stopped making what I would consider minor changes and are making huge ones and that I can't. A novel adaptation is supposed to at least somewhat follow the plot, not change whatever the f***

Swallowed star is the adaption of the chinese webnovel Swallowed star by I eat Tomatoes. I'm just going to start by saying that I have read the entire webnovel and I've restarted it very recently, so I'm a bit biased.
Swallowed star WN is an excellent story, at least in the beginning. I enjoyed the first ~200 chapters immensely, and it's really different from the average xianxia since it's in a sci-fi setting.
As of episode 8, the anime has managed to adapt the characters and monsters quite well. The art is pretty good and the sound is good as well.

read the webnovel. Unfortunately, they have decided to keep most of the events that happen in the novel, but completely changing the way they happen. I don't think it's a good thing but I could have accepted it if the way they did it made sense, which isn't the case.

Xu xin is in danger outside the city without any protection. Luo Feng and his squad goes to rescue her. Except that Xu xin comes from a really important family and is a direct descendant, so how the f*** would she be outside without protection. Not mentioning the fact that she is a university student so how is she outside to begin with. Also, the main job of warriors is to hunt monsters when they go outside, so they don't usually wait for a mission.

Anyway, so far I would say the anime is great. Too bad I have to take 2 points because of the nonsense modifications, 8/10.
Edit after finishing: Unfortunately my impressions after episode 8 were right. It's better to consider this story as completely different from the novel. Most events and characters are the same but the way they happen is way different, and sometimes don't make sense at all. It's really sad because it would have been way better if they just decided to stick with the story.
Overall I would say it's a 8 only if you haven't read the novel, because it's still pretty good. If you did and you remember it, it's closer to a 6 and I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
