Writing a quick review because I honestly didn't understand how the other two reviews rated this as a "masterpiece."
Decent story, with little to no character development, which is partially due to it being a rather short one-shot. Simple and cute art.
A quick and cute read, but by no means a masterpiece of the shounen-ai genre. Clichéd, and you can find dozens of better variations of this.
I recommend this to someone who's new to shounen-ai. More experienced readers will find this mediocre and overrated.

To be completely honest, this didn't feel realistic at all.
The concept was good if you like slice of life and drama or whatnot, but I didn't like the way it was executed.
Part of the problem is probably due to the shortness of it. In only short 6 episodes, it's hard to care about the characters. However, its length wouldn't be a problem if they hadn't tried to add so much information in every episode. For instance, in the first episode alone, Yuuichi is already practically professing his love for this girl who's acted like a brat for the previous 20 minutes of screening. It

just didn't feel believable.
The characters and their actions felt forced, too. I can't decide if Rika is a major tsundere or just really bratty. Hell, even if she IS a tsundere - which I usually love - I don't like her at all, and I honestly don't know what Yuuichi saw in her in the first place. In turn, Yuuichi needs to grow a backbone. My favourite character was Sekoguchi, and seeing he's got such a minor role, that's just sad.
The art was good, the soundtrack decent, but the animation definitively could've been better. There were scenes where the characters' movements looked really unnatural.
Overall, I found this somewhat enjoyable. Maybe if this were a full length series - with better character development and an unrushed plot - I'd give it a rating higher than fair.

The plot may get kind of redundant, but I still enjoyed this.
ART AND SOUND (10/10)
The strongest point of Uraboku is definitively the art. Sceneries, clothing, and characters are flawlessly drawn and animated. The soundtrack is also very good and sets the emotional mood perfectly.
CHARACTERS (9/10)
I also generally liked the characters. They had interesting back stories, but they really slowed down the pace of the story.
STORY (6/10)
And that brings us to why I'm not giving it a higher rating. The story started out really great, but after so many character introductions, it lost its track and became less about the fight with the Duras and

more about their past, feelings and 'suffering'. Yuki, who I'd initially liked for his gentle and kind personality, then became every character's obsession. Despite everyone getting their arses kicked (am I even allowed to say this in reviews? hah) whilst trying to protect this boy who didn't seem half as important to their cause as they deemed him to be, all they worried about was Yuki and how much he was suffering - to the point that they were willing to sacrifice themselves and their lifelong companions in order to keep him alive. That got old after 5 episodes or so.
I felt like it all built up to nothing in the end, which didn't feel like an actual ending at all. I'm not sure if they plan on making this into a second season or not, but since this is based on an ongoing manga, I'm guessing the unanswered questions are explained in that.
Something I'd like to point out: don't be fooled - just because most of the characters are male and the genre says shounen-ai, this definitively isn't yaoi. Hell, I'm even hesitant to call it shounen-ai. The displays of affection are limited to 2 or so short cheek strokings and the only evident romance is between Luka and Yuki in his former life - when he was a girl.
ENJOYMENT/OVERALL (8/10)
Despite its flaws, I believe you'll enjoy this anime if you like the supernatural and action and don't mind a bit of angst. And if you're into bishies, you're in for a treat.

The plot development wasn't the best out there, but several other things make up for that.
STORY 8/10
The concept was really interesting and was actually well-developed, but not so much in the first few episodes. Because there were so many main characters, episodes 1-8 were spent almost solely in introducing them and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that the first half of the series sucked, just that what happened then wasn't very relevant to the main point of the story.
CHARACTERS AND ENJOYMENT 9/10
What made this first half enjoyable were the different male characters. Besides being lovely bishies, they were very likable in

their own way. I didn't dislike Haruka, but she wasn't memorable or a strong enough lead in my view.
ART AND SOUND 10/10
If there's one thing that I absolutely loved about this anime was the soundtrack and the art. The characters were gorgeous, the scenery was beautiful, and the colours dazzling. It was actually one of the anime with the best art I've seen - though part of that may be due to the fact that I watched this in DVD quality. And not only were the songs sung by the characters amazing, but also the sound effects. They were really meticulous, and it showed.
OVERALL 8/10
Overall, I found this a very entertaining anime, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a fresh anime - especially if you're into arts and music.

I think it's the first time I fall so deeply in love with an anime upon watching the first episode alone.
It usually takes me a few episodes to like an anime, and if/when I do, it's not so much that I feel the uncontrollable urge to watch it all in one sitting.
The setting was really interesting, and even though not much explanation was presented, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. The characters were also incredibly likable. For instance, no matter how good a group of characters are, I can usually pick out the one who I like best, but in this, I

simply cannot decide whether I like cocky Nezumi or gentle Shion better.
Sigh. I guess I'll just have to add both of them to my favourite characters list.
The soundtrack was very fitting, and I specially love the pieces sung by Nezumi. Yes, he can actually SING. Now do you understand why he's in my favourites list? LOL
Overall, I'd recommend this to everyone. It's not a long series (only 11 episodes), so it's not one of those you have to put some serious thought into before starting. No. 6 is a bit of everything: there's plenty action (especially in the end), there are funny moments... Hell, it's even shounen-ai, for those who are into that (*raises hand*).
I dare you to watch this and not enjoy it.

Really great!
... for the first 50 episodes.
This is one of the first - if not the first - anime I've watched and the reason why I'm hooked on anime several years after rushing from school to watch this on TV when it was aired. A few months back, when, on a whim, I started re-watching it, I fell in love with it all over again upon watching the first few episodes. This is one of the best things about InuYasha - you don't need to watch 5 or 6 episodes before you get into it. The story starts right away, and you don't want to

stop watching it.
However, I feel like it dragged on for too long and became repetitive. The main conflict was never resolved and the small conflicts in every episode got annoying after a certain point. It actually reached a point where, if you skipped 10 episodes, you'd know exactly what was happening and you'd miss nothing.
But not all it lost: if you're a patient person and used to long series like this, I'm positive you'll enjoy this. The concept isn't very original (group of strangers go off on a journey to defeat an enemy and encounter many mini-problems on the way), but it's still enjoyable. This is probably due to the fact that the main characters are very likable. Unlike other series I've watched, I liked all of the main characters and rooted for them.
EXCEPT FOR SHIPPO. I DON'T LIKE SHIPPO. THERE SHOULDN'T BE A SHIPPO.
The soundtrack is amazing and I have no complaints about the art. It's nothing fancy, but keep in mind that this is a fairly old anime.
Overall, I'd recommend watching this anime until you start to get annoyed by the plot drag. When you do, just skip to the InuYasha: The Final Act and watch the end. If you can watch this without getting bored, better yet! Good for you, mate, I admire your determination!

I'll start by saying that this is my all-time favourite anime. Oh, and I'm a girl.
This may be shounen (marketed to a male audience of 10+), and I can see how guys would be more attracted to this sort of plot, but it's a masterpiece that, in my opinion, both guys and girls will enjoy.
The concept itself is very simple: Light, a bored, but brilliant high school student, wants to build a new world free of criminals and has the perfect tool in his hands to do so. What makes it so good is how well its developed, and how realistic it feels. You literally

get sucked into the story and find yourself torn in between supporting Light - he is the main character after all, and we usually root for them, don't we? - and wanting to rip his throat out for some of the things he does to get what he wants. Yes, it's as intense as it sounds!
The art isn't the detailed kind, but I really like the lighting effects throughout the series. It sets the mood perfectly. The soundtrack also does that. It may seem overly dramatic if you listen to it by itself, but it worked really well. And yes, lame as it sounds, I ended up downloading every track after watching the anime!
I'm aware that there are several other reviews for this, but it just seemed wrong not to review something I enjoyed so much. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE, BOYS AND GIRLS ALIKE!

This is why I hate reading ongoing series.
I get so damn depressed when I finally catch up.
Especially when they're this good.
I've read up to Chapter 13, which is all they have up to now, and I really want to keep going! This is a really good read, and here's why:
I think the art is incredible. Probably not the best out there, but one of my favourite styles yet; the characters and sceneries are all gorgeous. The story seemed kind of eyebrow-raising to me at first, but Haru and Ren's relationship is actually pretty sweet. Ren's definitely a tsundere, and a really cute one at that!

I really enjoy their moments together. At first, I didn't quite get how their relationship evolved from brotherly to something more, but as the chapters went by, it got more natural.
The only complaint I have is that the chapters are published bimonthly. I'll try to, but I really don't know if I'll be patient enough to wait 2 whole months for every chapter.

I'll start by saying that I bawled my eyes out in the end of this anime. If you don't want to watch something that'll draw that sort of reaction out of you, don't watch this. Wait, scratch that, if you don't want to watch something that'll draw that sort of reaction out of you, watch this anyway and go to your happy place in the end. If you skip this, you will never know what you missed out on.
The story was beautiful and incredibly believable. It was everything a yaoi lover such as myself could've asked for, and it wasn't purely smut like some OVAs

from the genre.
The art really wasn't bad, and I'm giving it a 7.
The soundtrack really didn't stand out to me, but that's probably a good thing. Some older anime have the habit of continuously playing annoying background music, but this one didn't, thank goodness. Nonetheless, it's a 6.
The characters were amazing, and probably a huge part of the reason why I liked Fuyu no Semi so much. 9.
Anyway, this is truly a masterpiece of the yaoi genre, and I recommend this to everyone, even those who aren't big on it. This is nothing like the plotless porn we find in so many yaoi anime these days.

This isn't an anime I'll be recommending any time soon.
PLOT (3/10)
The plot was extremely predictable, despite the summary being promising. Also, the girl seemed to have been thrown in last minute. She didn't really add anything to the story, and neither did the fact that one of the guys sold his body for a living.
ART (7/10)
The art wasn't bad, considering how old it is, but the downside of that is that even the best copy of the anime (I downloaded it from aarinfantasy) is in a really low quality.
SOUND (6/10)
The music is exactly what you'd expect from an old anime: a few repetitive notes for

different moments. It could've been worse, though.
CHARACTER (5/10)
Like I said, the female character was rather useless, and the male leads were really nothing special. I really didn't care if they ended up together or not, I just wanted to see how the girl would react when she found out that her boyfriend was having an affair with his best friend. Poor girl, she had no hope in hell of getting that guy, and she didn't even know it!
If you're looking for a story with likable characters who you can root for, skip this. Hell, even if all you're looking for is fluff or smut, this isn't for you. The relationship between the two guys isn't cute at all, and although there is implied sex, nothing is shown and there's only mild nudity.
I'll only recommend this to those who are looking for a good laugh.
