Preliminary (10/12 eps)
I saw this originally on MAL by pure coincidence and thought it might make for a quick, fun watch. There was hardly any information about it online and I never even found the last two episodes, so keep that in mind.

This is an incredibly confusing show, with irritating plot points, lazy animation and likely some of the worst voice acting I've ever heard. The episodes are far too short to leave a lasting impression with the storyline they are attempting to portray. There are some very enjoyable series that manage to split their narrative effectively in mini episodes like this, but it was very ...

Like many, I adore the Househusband manga series, and was incredibly excited for an adaptation.

What I loved about the manga can still be found in this series. There's nothing new or unexpected, and the jokes are still really funny.

The problem with the series is the animation style. It's looks incredibly lazy, and gives the audience nothing new at all if they've read the manga. Even if you weren't a manga reader, it's pretty clear that this is a low effort adaptation. It seems like it was rushed, with no real attention to detail and incredibly simple movement, backgrounds and transitions.

I'd also have appreciated ...

If you're a fan of the main series, it's impossible not to enjoy these OVAs. While the focus is shifted away from our main couple, these episodes are undeniably sweet, and delve deeper into some of the side relationships that didn't get as much focus in the main series.

My only complaint was that the second episode ended on a pretty unsatisfying note, though I can only hope that might be rectified in the future with another season.

Overall though, the OVAs are very similar in tone to previous episodes, so there's no reason not to give them a watch.

For many of us, video games are about escapism, leaving behind whatever is happening in the real world. This series perfectly captures that, while bringing a vibrant story to life.

The characters are all well fleshed-out and interesting, and the humour is especially great for anyone who has played otome or dating-sim type games before.

What made the series especially great for me though, was the inclusion of the 'real life' sections. I don't want to spoil anything, but showing the reality outside of the game gave us a beautiful and tragic story, allowing the in-game plotline to be far more interesting and sweet.

Disclaimer: if you have already watched the show and love Koko, you won't agree with my review, so I'd recommend giving it a miss.

I had to force myself to finish this series, which is so disappointing, considering that the premise is incredibly interesting.

The majority of the story is well presented, and there are many lovable characters. This being said, the love interest/female protagonist of the series is so insufferable that it genuinely ruined much of the show.

Despite the complete lack of chemistry between herself and the protagonist, she obsesses over him, often acting much like a stalker, and getting incredibly jealous. Aside from ...

I'm not a cat person.

This is mostly due to my allergy, but it led me to not care too much about felines.

The creators of this story most certainly were cat people. I thought that the decision to switch perspectives between the protagonist and his pet would grow old quickly, but I never felt that by the end. Being able to hear the cat's inner monologue was a lovely touch, and I enjoyed seeing the writer's interpretation of how a cat would see the human world.

The show has some funny moments, but the emotional aspect is the main pull of the story, and learning ...

I want to start by saying that this is not a good representation of a healthy relationship. Throughout watching, I felt extreme sympathy for the protagonist as she was continuously gaslit and insulted. Even when the relationship appeared to improve, I couldn't shake the uncomfortable knowledge that she deserved better, something that other characters in the show echoed, while being ignored.

The art left a lot to be desired in places as well, with some angles meaning that characters looked peculiar, and conversations or transitions being only partially animated at times.

The saving grace of the series is the surrounding characters, who brought comedy and fun to ...

This is a story of confidence, self-worth and learning to love your life again.

It also was the complete opposite of what I was expecting.

The characters blend elegantly into one another's lives, with complex relationships and emotions between them, and the protagonist's growth in particular is wonderful to watch.

Using radio in an anime is a wonderful idea, and showing the brilliance of radio dramas is what Wave, Listen to Me! does so well. The series perfectly intertwines reality and fiction, leaving the viewer to interpret the true meaning, while also showing appreciation to those working behind the scenes, in areas such as sound design ...

This anime is enjoyable without demanding 100% of your attention. The characters are all likeable, and, despite being a harem, I didn't feel particular dislike for any of the girls, and the protaginist wasn't incredibly boring or perverted.

I wanted a little more exploration of some of the girls, but realistically, there's only so much one can do in 12 episodes, so I'm glad there is a second season.

While there seems to be a large focus on one of the girls in particular in this series, it's not too much to say that she is going to be the final choice, which is the one ...

I can honestly say I wasn't expecting to be this blown away by series two. I enjoyed the original series, but this took it to another level entirely.

The returning characters were explored in far more depth, and all new characters were wonderful additions to the cast. The relationship between Mob and Reigen, as well as many others, were built on further as well. This lead to many moments filled with an incredible amount of emotion, with the love that these characters have for one another made clear.

Once again, the art is fantastic, and I also found that the comedic elements were more succesful in this ...
