I liked your perspective and opinions toward it. Some points I agree. For one, the anime was long, which made me happy. But the thing that really bothered me is it seemed Taichi got more scenes then Arata and Chihaya. Arata was just out of the story after he grew up. ;w; So sad because I loved him. I still gave it a 10 because it was one of those animes that would forever be in my head, caught my attention. It was so amazing to me. Uggh but I didn't like how it ended withought info ;w;

I really liked your Chihayafuru review and agreed with you on a lot of points. I actually did a review of it myself and while I gave it a lot of 8s and 9s, my overall score of it ended up being a 7 due to the pacing and poor storytelling/character development along our leads. I actually disagree with you in regards to the side characters...I actually thought there were was TOO MUCH of the side characters and not enough of the leads.
What annoyed me the most about Chihayafuru, even though I really liked the series, is if you go back to around episode 4 or 5 all the way up to episode 25, there is little to no character development/plot advancement surrounding Chihaya, Taichi, and Arata. This anime highlights these three characters so vividly in their promotions, OP, and ED, yet, it feels like they have no real story in the series from how its told. I found it to be really pathetic.
