In theory canibalism, rape, breasts (well not really--why not watch porn instead?) and violence might be okay (good?) to see in a movie. But this is fucking awful. The way it is presented makes it completely unenjoyable. If you have ever seen an action movie before...well, it doesn't matter, there isn't even any real action here. ...So Boring...

The voice acting in this show is easily the worst I have ever heard. It is probably humanly impossible to be as unenthused as the voice actors on the english dub. Though, this may have been one of the few pros of the movie: I might've laughed at some of incredibly bad parts if I weren't so tired and bored. Well, probably not. I'm just being nice. None of it was that funny.

Edit: Sorry, I don't think I said how much this sucks, strongly enough. How is this rated so high? Mars of Destruction is more offensive than this??? Not really.

There is no reason to rate this even moderately high. This is not filling some kind of void. Similar, enjoyable, "more extreme" movies already exist. Just Google Search: 'Category III' .....

Making a boring drama is one thing but a boring action short-movie. God. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Okay. This is a short made for greenpeace about why we should save the whales because they once saved us. Pretty presumptuous and annoying message (Worthwhile/good messages[1] should be easy to understand. Re-read what I said...what the fuck, right?) It almost makes me want to begin eating meat.

But the animation--Koji Yamamura's style-- is nice and it's really hard to become irritated with something in the span of two minutes. So it's not so bad.

If I repeatedly watched it 3 or 4 times I would definitely lower the score 2-3 points.

See _Princess Mononoke_ if you're really into this stuff. That one is much more enjoyable and has much nicer pictures to look at.

[1] Well they should, like, be applicable to everyone too... The whole metaphor is kind of bullshit. I think the target audience is Japanese people who ate whales due to starvation ??? I'm not really cultured enough to know if that demographic is big or not. I don't care. I've never even seen a fucking whale.

This one shot sucks. Have you ever seen a children's cartoon by the name of Arthur? When I was seven I watched it a lot and learned many many EMOTIONAL TRUTHS. And the show was really enjoyable too.

This is basically the same idea...it's trying to teach you something but if you already know what's its saying. . . who gives a shit? What else does it have to offer? Not much: just an already-done premise and crappy art.

No entertainment was had whilst reading this. I'm not against emotional truths really. I like them alright. But this is pretty goddamn unnecessary.
