The authors have used an interesting artstyle and over-the-top premise to fill a show with as many ridiculous memes and shit references as possible while ending up with a story that is most likely purposefully trying to be as generic as possible.
I don't know, maybe they were trying to make a comment on the state of the industry overall with this but as it is it really is not an anime that is able to stand on its own.
I am not surprised that the reviews here are so split in each direction.
Watch alone and if you appreciate meta-stuff.

A shining beacon for all anime. A true masterpiece.
On the surface it is a story about friends who enjoy school-life together, but if you look closely you see a lot of conservative values! Baking and cooking for the ones you hold dear, getting a lot of children and most importantly protecting and defending those close to you to from evil forces outside! Obviously it is a very deep political commentary on how society is and how it should be to make everyone happy and live together properly, as it also emphasizes to get along with those similar to you and takes a strong stance against ...

In short, a masterpiece in the unfortunately very niche psychological thriller genre.
One of the few mangas where actually every action makes sense from each characters viewpoint. Additionally, the author manages to keep it interesting throughout and not slow down by fillers. He is just getting more extreme with every chapter as the students try harder and harder to get rid of the teacher. With only 15 chapters out as of the time of writing this, it has already crafted a rich backstory with the darker aspects of human psychology at its core.
