I watched Haibane, It was alright, the theme didn't really click with me so well though. Overall I enjoyed it.

Which show are you referring to? Surely you're further than episode one of Hyouge Mono by now. Oh! Edo Rocket perhaps?

Sorry to be so late in responding. Yes, Hyouge Mono is pretty much unlike any other show I've ever seen. Sarai-ya Goyou has some of the same flavor, but it takes place at the end of the samurai period. The main character is a ronin.
