Hey, Satoshi is a pretty cool guy! He's the most interesting man in the world character in Hyouka.
But yes, it took some episode until I stopped thinking "Sunohara", especially since Tomoya is there as well. (Really, those two seiyuus are perfect as best buddies characters)

He watches over the 'about me' section.
After Will, it's Thor's turn now to be my display picture ;)

Well, HxH and YYH are mangas by the same author, so no wonder xD

You hate cliffhangers? Okay, then I guess you should really wait with those shows^^ Yeah, Steins;Gate had some evil cliffhangers, but I like that feeling. I'm like a cliffhanger masochist xD

I AM pretty excited about SnA :P I love music, and even if Jazz isn't my cup of tea, the way it was presented and was integrated into the story was great. And Sentarou is boss.
Nakahara Mai completely owns the show, trust me. She has more lines than the rest of the cast together, and she pulls it off without any problems.

I wanted to answer with another witty Skyrim saying, but i can't come up with one :(
Ah, Hyouka is a very special case. Warning, wall of text incoming :P

The people that started watching it mostly belonged to one of the two groups: People who wanted another K-On, or people who wanted a real mystery show. Hyouka is neither of those, so they were disappointed. While it hasn't a overarching plot, it isn't as episodic as K-On. There are a few major arcs, and some two-parters + stand alone episodes. The mysteries are not "Who killed the teacher?", but about more mundane stuff.
Hyouka is a very special show that has its on tempo, and takes it time to explore things. The first few episodes were a bit boring for many people (including me), but not because they're bad, but because the viewer wasn't accustomed to the style yet.
I've read many complaints that there was not enough character development, but that's wrong. The thing about Hyouka is, it's subtle. There are no scenes were a character goes "OMG I realized I'm in love with her, but it can't work!!!!11". Instead, the development shows through their mimic, their actions, etc. I'll just quote Guardian Enzo here:
I love that guy's blog :D
So don't let bad reviews bother you, it's a great show (that review you read didn't lie about the seiyuus, it's almost ridiculous how much money KyoAni put both into seiyuus and the visuals), and I think after rewatching it, I'd raise the score to 9/10. Give it a shot, if only for the stunning presentation^^

Yeah, I'll send you a PM ^^

I can't believe that I forgot to mention Hyouka :O
It's like mystery meets slice of life (with the focus being more on the slice of life/school life side), beautifully animated by KyoAni (the Kanya Festa Arc has the most beautiful school festival I've ever seen). Both the male and the female main characters are very well developed, and are equally important to the story. The two guys totally reminded me of Okazaki and Sunohara, especially in the first episodes. Well, they even have the same voice actors xD
There is also a bit of romance, but it's more of a sub plot, and very subtle. It's one of the most natural relationships I've seen, not the "love on first sight" thing, but rather a emotion growing throughout the whole show.
Looking at how much you like Clannad and other KyoAni shows, mystery animes, and more intelligent shows, this might be THE anime for you ^^

Haha, don't worry about it^^

Oh well, your decision. But HxH is nothing like modern Shounen, it has a more psychological approach than others (the main character has his first physical battle after ca. 20 episodes). The manga started in 1998, so it's not much of a surprise it's so different from other Shounen I know^^

Hmm.... Let me see...
Shinsekai Yori is very interesting, but also highly controversial. There's romance and tons of drama in a post-apocalyptic supernatural/fantasy setting. And since almost nobody has read the source material (real novels rather than LNs), there aren't that many spoilers on the internet :P

Robotics;Notes, the new work of the creators of Steins;Gate and Chäos;Head, is cool, too. The start is rather slow, but that doesn't stop the plot from becoming interesting pretty soon. However, as an adaption of a popular VN, there are spoilers everywhere^^

I'm not much of a romance fan, but I really like Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. It's a Shoujo about two very socially awkward students falling in love with each other. There's a bit of drama, but it's mainly a romantic comedy. Also, the side characters are interesting too, something that gets rather rare these days.

Psycho-Pass is an original Anime project, it isn't based on anything. There aren't any spoilers anywhere, no one knows what happens next ^^

If you'd prefer something that is already finished, I highly recommend Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) and Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita.
SnA is a Josei about two very different boys who become friends through Jazz music, and their problems while growing up. Romance is a prominent theme, but the main focus is on how important real friendship is. Set in Japan in the '60s, with a great soundtrack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caWY7uOlakU even as someone who never listened to Jazz I find this awesome^^), and directed by the genius Watanabe Shinichiro.
Jinrui is a very surreal satire show set after the downfall of humanity, with little "fairies" as new dominant population. Sometimes it's disturbing, sometimes it's funny (a pretty dark humor), and sometimes it's complicated. And it's extremely strange all the time, in a good way^^
Those two were total surprise hits for me, and two of the best shows of 2012.

Nah, MSN is dead. Everything gets managed either on Facebook or via SMS. At least here in Germany xD

Yeah, MAL got hacked again, so Xinil had to do a complete rollback.

You asked for recommendations, right?
I recently started watching Hunter x Hunter (2011), and it's awesome. Its page on MAL and the first few episodes make it look like a children's show, and that's pretty much what I expected. Boy, how wrong I was. For a Shounen, there is some seriously fucked up stuff going on. It's definitely worth trying.
Other than that, you might want to check out Psycho-Pass, the new anime written by Fate/Zero & Madoka Magica's Urobuchi Gen. Very dark, and so far really cool :D
It’s time to ditch the text file.
