With a show like this, it's easy to see how much time and care has gone into making it succeed. Kiseijuu has so many genres and elements to it, however rather than it becoming a huge mess, it executes every single one perfectly.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu is about Parasytes that have invaded earth, whose main priority is to take over human bodies and use them as hosts, controlling their body and minds. Parasytes are fierce creatures who kill and feed on humans. The MC is a teenage boy name Shinichi whom one night is invading by a parasyte, but this attack somewhat fails as

the parasyte named Migi, takes over his right hand rather than his consciousness. Thus allowing Shinichi to keep his humanity. They must work together to protect Shinichi's loved ones, and ultimately survive themselves against other parasytes.
The animation factor of Kiseijuu was done well throughout the 24 episodes. It did however vary between scenes, which by no means is due to lazy animators or time related issues, but rather is done to enhance the mood. For example, battle scenes as apposed to ordinary scenes simply had differences between them. Backgrounds and scenery had quite an amount of detail, and character designs hit the mark throughout the show.
The characters in this show are extremely well developed.
The companionship shown between Shinichi and Migi is fascinating in a way. They are both dependent on each other to survive. In the beginning it shows how they simply want to be free of each other, but their bond is so natural that it is difficult to pinpoint when the label of an annoyance is replaced by friendship. The background and emotional attachment each character has was done exceptionally well.
The soundtrack of Kiseijuu is quite possibly one of my favorites. There is a lot of diversity in this department, ranging everywhere from dub-step to instrumental. The OP and ED's suited the show perfectly. I usually have a habit of skipping the Openings with 99% of shows that i watch, however every episode i found myself pleasantly enjoying it. I couldn't find anything in this department of the show to fault. I was surprised with how honest the voice acting was. Not only the main characters, but the supporting were so convincing. It truly seems as though the creators designed the characters to suit the voice actors, not vise versa.
Prior to starting Kiseijuu, I had a preconceived idea of what it would entitle. A somewhat childish concept became a true work of art. It has been a pleasure finishing this anime for the past 24 weeks. It has the ability to appeal to such a wide audience. Whatever genre you prefer, i would advice you give this show a try as it has all the elements of a masterpiece.

A letter to Momo has comfortably been sitting in my 'plan to watch' list for quite a few years now. I'm disappointed that i've left this little masterpiece alone for such a long time, however, glad it has since migrated to my completed list. In my eyes, this film could truly hold it's own against some of the most recognized Ghibli films.

reason are only visible to her. Learning that these three characters aren't leaving any time soon, she befriends them, making life in this new town bearable.
Although not entirely necessary, the character development for the protagonist was extremely refreshing. The detailed depth that Momo received not only helped fans and viewers relate/understand her greater, it played a big part in how the supporting characters in relation to Momo were perceived.
The artwork in this film was outstanding. It doesn't take long at all to realize the effort and time that went into creating such a visually appealing film. A letter to Momo could have been a silent film and it still would have succeeded due to the amount of body language and emotional features that was included. You are able to tell exactly what each character are thinking at all times, simply from looking at them.
There really isn't a lot to say about the sound aspect of this film. The sountrack was wonderful and enhanced the overall feel of the film in every scene. A lot of the music was instrumental and every piece was performed well. Every main and supporting voice actors suited their roles perfectly.
A letter to Momo is simple, but done exceptionally well. It's truly a shame that its popularity is so low because it is without a doubt one of the most brilliant anime films of the decade. Although having never watched this, it had such a nostalgic feeling throughout the entire movie. I would recommend all ages to give it a try. 9/10

Mushishi to me, is like that one friend that we all have. You love seeing them... for about twenty minutes and then you realize why you haven't seen them for so long.
At the beginning i came into the show thinking that i could finish it in a day or two. Two years later, between falling asleep through episodes because of the blissful and calming music and dark art styles. To forgetting which episode i am up too, resulting in starting from the beginning, i can happily say Mushishi has been a pleasure to complete.
The premise of this story all revolves around Ginko the Mushishi

and his travels throughout the land in search of helping people with mushi related issues. Every episode focus' on a new group of characters (with the exclusion of Ginko) and the problems they are going through caused by a type of mushi. Blah blah blah, i'm assuming everyone has already heard of Mushishi, if not you know where to find the descriptions. All in all, the stories are somewhat darker than what i expected which was a nice surprise.
The art style was something truly unique. Throughout every episode is has been consistently dull, which worked in it's favor tying it perfectly with the story. The detail of surroundings and landscape were brilliant taking into consideration that it was created nearly 10 years ago.
Sound was a strong component to this show. It fitted the mood exceptionally well. Simple is better, much better. This anime doesn't go over the top with this component, which i feel is the reason it worked so well. Sometimes all a scene needed was a softly played instrument to set the mood.
The character development was brilliantly done for the character that each episode was based around, which is hard because it is all episodic and got a fresh batch of characters every episode, but thankfully it worked out. I was however a little bit disappointed with the amount of personal background information our main man Ginko didn't get in season one. In saying that, it wasn't necessary to the plot and we still got some pieces of information here and there.
All in all, this show was truly one of a kind.
Now time for me to watch season two,
see you in two years.

Watching NANA takes me back to the first month that I moved out of home with a friend into the big wide world. Not knowing how to get electricity connected or how we were going to survive with $10 in our bank accounts. Literally going months without buying groceries or how tiresome it

got walking up and down the countless flights of stairs. To me, Nana is one of the most realistic anime shows to date.
Love. Friendship. Family. Identity. Independence. Reality. Arguments. Memories. Dreams. Beliefs. Morals. Fate. NANA covers the contents of life. The good, the bad and the uncertainty this is life itself. Which is part of the reason why I feel as though it is completely relate-able to.
The character development was strong from beginning to end. Every main character had the spotlight to share their past, and they all grew in front of us. They weren't portrayed at the ideal human beings, just every day people who have dreams and have to work hard to make a living. I believe it allowed viewers to quickly learn about each character, forming a bond between viewers and characters based on personality.
The music… Ah the music. Seeing as this anime is based around the theme of music, it’s obvious that it was going to be good. But from the moment that I listened to the OP in episode 1, it had already surpassed my expectations and I was drawn in, needing to hear more. I’m a fan!
The artwork in this series was better than I thought. Initially i wasn't too fond of the work but after time passed it really grew on me. It pushes the boundaries of society with the thin bodies, ripped clothing, and identity. Many people don’t like this style because many of the characters look malnourished, however this is anime. It defies logic, and it shouldn't be thought of as a personal attack against humans who aren't stick thin. It is simply the style that is best suited towards the plot and image of characters personalities. My only negative is that some episodes were noticeably better than others.
Now that I have basically just shared my embarrassing love for this anime, I suppose I had better discuss my one and only negative, rather than being biased. The ending... it really didn't sit well with me. I've got questions that I need answers to! It felt rushed in my opinion and I wish there was one last episode or ova so that my questions can be answered. But in saying that i still enjoyed the ending, it just had a lot to live up to.
I've been procrastinating about watching NANA for a loooooooong time, as I didn't expect that I would like it as much as everyone else was claiming. I regret waiting so long. I’m a sucker for a nice friendship/romance story, and that is exactly what NANA delivered, except with a more realistic twist on it.
I loved every minute of it, and would recommend everyone who hasn’t already seen this to watch it. This was truly special.

Kiss x Sis is the second incest or sibling x sibling anime that I have watched, and safe to say it will be the last. The whole concept is just a bit too… I don’t even know. Incest. But hey some people like that I guess, I’m not here to judge anyone… just joking.
Seeing as I have only watched two anime in this genre, I don’t have a whole lot to compare it with. I found that there was a more comedic side to this show, which I felt made it a little easier to view, in comparison to Yosuga no Sora which

is a bit more ‘psychological’.
Story: Pretty simple, a brother and two sisters live together and are in love with each other. They constantly think up ways to seduce their brother, or help him whether it be with schooling or other life related problems. That’s basically all that happens. The end.
Art: The artwork was great. I wasn't expecting a lot in this department, but it pleasantly surprised me, but by all means I’m not saying it was a masterpiece. Just the same as any other ROM-COM made past 2010.
Sound: Both the OP and ED fit in really well with the series. It’s not something I would listen to, however it did compliment the show. Sound effects and voice acting was probably one of the strongest elements I found, as it all sounded crisp and professional.
I didn't love this show although i didn't hate it. However realistically speaking if the two girls weren't his ‘sisters’ and just happened to be living with him for some reason like… their parents passed away or I don’t know, something creative, it would have been a enjoyable show to watch.
8 points for effort.

Makoto Shinkai, is the Leonardo da Vinci of anime.
Kotonoha no Niwa (The Garden of Words) is the latest edition to Makoto Shinkai's work, and my personal favourite.
Story: A young man named Takao hopes to one day because a professional shoe maker. He often ditches school so that he can design his new ideas and shoes, until one day he meets an unusual women drinking beer on a rainy morning, at a Japanese styled garden. As the rainy season continues, so does their relationship with one another. This is where i stop with the story line, as i don't want to give away any spoilers.

Art: Makoto Shinkai is well known for his beautiful visuals when it comes to his movies, and Kotonoha no Niwa is no exception. There is nothing to say, other than it is out of this world.
Sound: The music was pleasant and effective throughout the film. Nothing exactly stood out to me, as the majority of run time was accompanied by either the sound of rain droplets, ambient sounds or piano music. However it was a nice simple touch that tied in well with the concept.
Character: Going into this, i knew that the character development would be lacking attention as there is only so much that can be fit into a film that is 46 minutes long. With that being said, the background of the characters wasn't needed to understand or to feel a connection to the plot.
Enjoyment: In short, I loved this short film. It was such a nice break from the generic action series that are going around at the moment. I was actually sad that it ended.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood surpasses the original series in almost every aspect imaginable. After I had finished watching the original FMA, I felt a endless sense of dissatisfaction, as the ending didn't sit right with me at all.
I'll be honest, i put off watching Brotherhood for a very long time, as i didn't think that a lot of the series would have changed dramatically. I expected a bit of enhanced animation and the addition of a few characters. God. I couldn't be more wrong. the original series.
The story line was healthy and straight to the point right from episode 1. No mucking about. As the plot goes on it gets hard to compare both series as the plot slowly drifts in difference directions from each other. What i was most enjoyed about was of-course, the ending. It was initiated perfectly, leaving no questions un-answered, which i feel was my main issue with Fullmetal Alchemist. It tied the entire show together neatly, the way it should have been.
The animation was beautiful. At times it was inconsistent, but even then it was great. Given that there is roughly a 6 year gap between the FMA and brotherhood, improved animation was a defiant. A lot more detail was provided though, which was a pleasant surprise.
Ah, now for the sound. Masafumi Mima deserves a medal, because he completely nailed this. I don't think there was a single OP or ED that i didn't enjoy. It matched the concept of Fullmetal Alchemist and scenes so well. There is nothing to say other than it was amazing.
The characters were developed a lot which was nice to see. It seemed there were at least a few episodes per main character to try to get to know them and deconstruct them as a character. This was a smart way to build the connection between viewer and character. Also bringing in a few new main characters that were not even mentioned in the original series was risky, but boy, it pull off. It gave a whole new feel to the show. With that being said, that squinty eyed guy sure knew how to annoy me at times.
Overall I am so glad i finally decided to watch Brotherhood. I ask for nothing else. I am more then content now hah. For everyone that has seen Fullmetal Alchemist and is thinking about watching Brotherhood but is worried it will be a waste of time because you think you already know what will happen. Go watch it, now. Stop reading this review and go watch it.

After watching Mawaru Penguindrum, if I ever see another penguin, or penguin related products/logos I will probably kill myself.
Moving on, this show is a prime example of 'more' isn't always more. Mawaru Penguindrum had so much potential, however unlike many anime shows it actually delivered... But the issue I had with this, is that it also added SO MANY unnecessary plot twists and issues that simply were not needed. It made the story hard to follow and i was finding myself questioning what the main plot of the story was, which for me wasn't pleasant to watch at certain scenes. At times it seemed like

the creators were just trying to fill in time with random scenes that had no relevance to the story.
Which is why i have no idea why i loved this show as much as I did. There was so much wrong with it, and yet so many amazing parts. I think it was just heart warming to watch. I tried so much to look past all the little things because i truly did want this show to be everything i hoped it would, but for me it was more of a love/hate relationship.
There is not a lot to say about the artwork and sound, other than it was great. Both tied in very well with the mood and scenes which was pleasant to watch.
The characters was the strongest element in Mawaru Penguindrum i felt. Plenty of background information was given, plenty of emotions, plenty of twists, plenty of meltdowns. What's not to like!
But seriously, Characters were good.
So, this is one of those shows that you either Love, Hate, or like me you wont have a clue what is going on inside your head and will probably change your opinion on it about 50 times. But it is easily worth the watch.

K, let me start by saying that although this series wasn't close to becoming a masterpiece, it is not nearly as bad as alot of viewers are making it out to be with scores such as 3's/4's. However i can see why many people didn't like this anime.
Plot: Im not going to bore you all with giving a summary of the plot, as im assuming you have at least some knowledge of the show if you are reading this review. 'K' had so much potential, however like many recent shows airing, the plot was neglected due to the high demand of having pretty visuals and

catchy songs that will attract in viewers. The story line wasn't bad at all, it was simply lacking more attention from the creators. I felt as though the entire plot was rushed, resulting in many questions that were left un-answered.
Art & Sound: There's really not much to say about these two components of the show. Both were fantastically done.
Character: The character development was fairly bland and poorly done. I noticed that alot of the main characters didn't have any development or references about their past. I don't know what i was expecting, but it wasn't what i got.
Overall, it was an okay show. Give it a try and if you don't like it in the first few episodes, give it up. Because it doesn't get better as the show goes on. It's one of those shows that you will hate, love, or you will be neutral with it because lets be honest. You all have nothing else to waste your time with. (that's why you are reading this review).
