I definitely enjoyed this movie.
First and foremost, I just wanted to point out what a huge budget they had for it! Considering it was made in 2004, the animation is up to par with some of the newer anime animations that are out now in 2018! It truly was incredibly appealing to watch.
The story line was alright for me, I definitely think it could've been better. Sometimes I felt like some things were done too quickly, or not thoroughly enough, but in the end, everything pretty much made sense. It was also fun to watch the fight scenes too! The character developments were meh. It
...
was like there, but wasn't. More things could have happened and such.
All in all, it was a cool movie to watch. It was something simple, quick, and enjoyable.

This was a very well thought out and paced series. The first couple episodes were pretty dark (I don't really dig that kinda stuff; I'm more into lighthearted things) so I actually stopped watching for a good while. Eventually I decided to continue on and man am I glad I did!
As the show progresses, more plot lines are appearing; it wasn't just about the boys getting their bodies back - it's a lot bigger than it seems.
I really enjoy the character developments throughout the entire anime. If there's anything I would want, it's to have more romance - but hey that's just me. Other than
...
that, I really thought it was great quality and time worth spending.
It's adventurous, fun, not too heavy, easy to follow and enjoyable. Totally recommend!!!

This was a pretty light and quick watch. I wasn't expecting much of the story line, but it surprisingly turned up to be something.
I was intrigued that the main character was supposedly this evil guy - the devil. But he was such an ordinary man living in the modern world. Of course that is all thanks to the modern world not having much magic that the devil needed to get back to his realm. As other characters come into play throughout the episodes and more situations happen, it's really ironic how it ended up to be more of a "life lesson-type thing" because it's morals
...
with the devil? Haha.
It wasn't much else to it - just something simple and to the point most of the time. But it was definitely enough to make a pretty good anime. It was just a fun one.

I'm not sure that I enjoyed this as much as I had hoped. I thought it was going to be a story of its own - which believe me, it included its own plot - but it wasn't.
It recapped the entire SAO while another story line was happening. The movie's storyline itself wasn't that bad. It was something light and just an OVA or something, but I didn't really understand why it had to retell SAO. But like why was Kirito being questioned again anyway? I didn't understand that; I thought there was something bigger, but there wasn't.
If you want to know what happened in
...
this anime but don't want to watch the series, then this is probably a good movie for you. If you want to relieve the feelings and emotions and feel a familiar story again, definitely watch it! If you're not looking for a recap of the series and want to watch the side story, then feel free and skip all the parts that retold the story of SAO (I personally did that). Otherwise, if you don't feel like skipping through, this probably isn't going to be the most enjoyable movie for you.

This was probably my first anime I've watched and I really enjoyed it! The story line was intriguing because scientifically speaking, how crazy is it that people get stuck in a game that's connected to their brain in real life - that leads to possible death IRL. I mean, how does that even work?
The plot itself was revealed pretty obviously early on in the anime - probably the first episode? But the adventures that led on were pretty interesting. It seemed obvious that Kirito (main character) was going to be a single player who went and did things on his own. He got ridiculously strong
...
- but who doesn't love a strong hero?
A love story forms with Asuna that is pretty cute, in my opinion. As fake as the game and the world they were living in - the video game world - their love seemed (and alas, so real). There was good character development with this anime compared to others that I have now watched.
It seemed to me that the story was going to end well and then - of course - plot twist! The latter half of the anime (you'll see what I mean if you watch) that creates a completely new story line, yet still tailing on the first, seemed a little overstretched. I didn't dig it.
Overall, this was a great anime! It was very fantasy & adventure - which I love! So I recommend this anime.

This was probably my first anime I watched that Netflix had produced so I didn't know what really to expect. The story line seemed interesting and it was. It wasn't the best, but it was pretty good. The plot went. I was surprised at the actual story of the Seven Deadly Sins - they have their own back story and it lightly touches on some parts of it - and my curiosity still lingers to this day because I am still wanting them to continue it - or at least have an ending closure.
There is a slight character development that you see in these characters
...
though. Especially when they provide with the backstory of them, it really brings new light into the anime and lets you watch it with the considerations of the characters' past.
There were many things that was left open ended and it was not one of the things that are "left to the viewer's interpretation-type thing." So I'm definitely still expecting a continuation or something of that sort.
This was probably the most fan service anime I've watched - I typically try to avoid those kinds of anime if I knew it were included; but I guess I have to encounter it some time or another right?
Overall, I think it's a pretty good anime to watch in your free time.

This anime seemed like it had a pretty good story line to it. Mankind living in a utopia in space was pretty cool enough to me - but finding out that there's another world of humankind that's on Earth? That's something else. I had high hopes for this one, but it wasn't as great as I was expecting.
I wish there were more character developments throughout the anime. It seemed to me that Ledo, an outcast, who was trying to fit in, just kept trying to do that. It wasn't until something really happened that the humans on the earth (or at least Ledo himself) discovered
...
what really happened in the past and revealed why humans lived in two different places. The plot didn't really start moving until towards the last couple of episodes - and everything sort of just happened and came together. There was so much to question that was left unanswered and it frustrated me.
There was so much that could have happened with how the story was, but it just never progressed. I wasn't really impressed with it.

I've already watched and reviewed the previous Fairy Tail series. So if you're interested in that, check out my review! I thought it was a great anime all in all.
Fairy Tail (2014) was pretty much the same as the original anime series except it got dark. I mentioned in my other review that I really enjoy light series; nothing too dark, too much to think about, but the Tartaros Chapter was really different. The characters were - of course - still the same, but the plot was something I needed to adjust to. Sometimes I felt like I just really wanted to skip watching and
...
get to the end because it never ended! I felt like right when the plot was advancing one step forward, it ended up taking four steps back! But there were definitely points in the arc that really pulled on my heartstrings - especially with Lucy and the celestial spirits. There was also so much that you learned about Natsu - character developments - that (unfortunately) hasn't been revealed yet. But it really gives you the want to continue watching it till the end of the anime (2018!). Other than the darker sense of atmosphere, mostly every stayed the same, as I previously stated.
Fairy Tail ZERO (arc?) was a pretty good one too. Most people suggested that it's a filter, but I definitely don't think so. It really begins a new story line - or rather - new life into the anime and where you think it will end up going. It's definitely worth the watch.
I still overall really love this anime - even this second series (which, btw, continued the story of the original series). It still gave me intense feelings as I watched fight scenes. It's actually rather surprising too that at some times, it felt like they would lose - or literally be on the urge of defeat - but don't! Which that of course is because it's a shonen - something that I feel like people are forgetting and because of it, disliking the fact that the good guys always win? Haha.
This is still a definitely recommended watch if you watched Fairy Tail in the past and want to continue and finish the series!

This is by far my favorite anime (mind you I've only recently started getting into anime within the past few years so I probably haven't watched as much as other reviewers here). I haven't really read many reviews about this anime either so I don't feel like someone else's opinion has effected me in any way as I'm writing this review.
So why is this my favorite anime thus far?
I enjoy shonen, light-hearted atmospheres, and comical situations and hilarious characters.
To me, anime is something that I can watch and enjoy without feeling too much frustration or drama - and that's exactly what Fairy Tail gives me.
...
The soundtrack was definitely repetitive and most of the time they used the same music throughout the 175 episodes, but it never failed to hype up every fight scene or make my heart throb for every possible love scene. The art is pretty good and very funny - some parts they would change their style to emphasize different moods and feelings. The scenes are great! The fighting sometimes happens way too quickly and sometimes they talk too much - typically in a joking manner - so I would have to pause and rewind to be able to read and enjoy the scene as much as I can, but that didn't really bother me much because watching the fights were really an experience of color, drawings, animation, and sound!
The characters are hilarious! Each one has their own character and lives up to their expectations of it - they all have a specific "thing" they all do and yeah, you "expect" something to happen from someone, but it never gets old. Even their relationship with each other is really something. This anime really taught me that friendships matter; the connections you make with other people are essential to life and without those connections, you would have nothing (yeah who knew such an anime would give a deep lesson like that, huh?).
There were definitely some parts that I wished showed more or explained more into detail such as "They just get stronger by every fight, but why? how? what made this make them so much stronger?" "So are they every getting together?" "This arc is taking too long - what is that person even doing?" "How did she/he get so strong and get their power all of a sudden?" You'll see in the anime that those questions appear quite often. Some arcs were so short that you don't even realize how or why things happened - and unfortunately sometimes, you won't get the answer to it.
Despite the negative things, I felt like I had more positive feelings about this anime as I was watching it - and still do. It just gave me light whenever I watched it - nothing to dark or too serious. Of course, not everyone has the same taste and people might really want a more in-depth anime with a thorough plot. So if you want something like that, then maybe this isn't for you? If you like comedy, light-hearted things, not-too-serious story line with really good action scenes, friendship bonds and all that good stuff, then you definitely need to take time and watch this!
