Mixed Feelings
"This anime might be another hidden gem!"
Such thoughts were bothering me while watching first episode of Licensed by Royal. It had all the elements that is necessary for a popular series. Unfortunately L/R didn't make any use of them and turned into something that is nonsensical.

Story: The biggest flaw of this anime is its plot. Starting episode 2 there are lots of plot-holes left. Story doesn't help characters to develop. There's hardly any intense in it. Only final episodes get a bit serious and dramatic, though it leaves an open ending which definitely was not an appropriate solution. Having said that, action scenes still ...

Genius Party (Anime) add
Genius Party represents 7 short animated films made by various talented anime directors of Japan. Unlike 1 minute long Anikuri, creators had 15-20 minutes this time, to fully express themselves and have an impact on spectators. Each episode is special in their own ways so I'll comment laconic on every of them.

Genius Party – What an amazing way to begin the series! Atsuko Fukushima, also known from makin op/ed of Robot Carnival served her job and made an excellent introduction episode. It's very surreal, full of symbolisms and graphic looks also a lot better than in Robot Carnival.

[SPOILER WARNING]

First of all I must say that I'm not into maho-shoujo series, that's why Fancy Lala was a big discovery for me. It's oriented on mature themes and not some almighty little girls what's common in such type of animes. Fancy Lala is definitely among underrated shows. It's not a wonder if we take first, misleading episode into consideration. At first I thought about dropping it too, but fortunately I haven't.
