Manly. First half, first 16 episodes absolutely manly manly, would give that a 10. After that, then it drops off a little, feminine women were starting to behave manly rather then the helpless angels depending on the manly men they were in first half. So due to second half, dropping it by a point, to 9 overall.
All other anime these days is cuckified, where them men are weak, and followers, makes you want to puke. This really, especially first half, absolute absolute treasuere. Highly recommended to the brothers out there. Very rare to find such an anime like this.

Going to talk in allegories to prevent spoilers.
The story of the the men, father-son like relationships, and brother-brother like relationships was absolutely fantastic, 10 out of 10. However all the disgusting stuff made me rate this a 7. I would have rated it worst, but the good manly stuff was so good. The ending battle where father-like figure says he needs his son-like figure, and son is helped by father and son feels he's holding father back, but father keeps him in. And father even gives his only weapon and puts all faith in son, not because son is stronger but he just has something

that is right for the battle. I really love the respect for that father-like figure by all, but the son-like figure has the most. So so brilliant, so touching. Absolutely love the shared skills and attributes between father-like and son-like. I see wizard king father-like to captain son-link and captain father-like to Asta son-like. Absolutely love negation of magic. Love how dark magic is so awesome and even has hints of this negation. I really think dark magic is strongest and really want to see it more. Love how father gets the strongest magic, of course father wants son stronger but it's great. Even time magic, father like figure is as just a bit stronger than dark magic from what we've seen so far. But I really like how the fathers save and nurture the son's strength. The final battle was the best, father like figure didn't get defeated, he really beat an immortal multiple times but then couldn't end it due to immortality. Son's more enhance ability of anti magic was key. And even in the battle father figure kept saving son and helping build synergy. That last battle was my favorite and seeing the admittance by the enemy that father-like figure abilities and skills and strategies surpass his own, is awesome. The way father said to son he needs him and and son faught together in sync was so incredible. Boosting each other up. And even in the most intense part father went even harder and son was in awe as father with bare hands (well dark magic enhanced strength) flipped the enemy and tore off his arm. And just son wanting to live up to hopes and expectations and going beyond. And even that brotherhood between devil and son. And final touch of son losing all weapons and father saving son last second and throwing him his only weapon putting all faith in him, and throwing his son forward and son doesn't let him down. Just absolutely beautiful father son relationship stuff there, ideal ideal. And after that son fell panting and father just held him up. Still bummed at how father got captured, he saw it coming and he's fast too but just tiny slip and he was all tired, still I think the show had to do it for drama. I'm still thinking that father saw his magic tree brother captured and let himself be captured so he can save his brother. (although I think father could have saved his brother with another fight, he wasn't panting like son, but I guess producers/writers need some story to tell, just hope they keep pushing fathers and brothers and sons to the top in all things, strength, valor, love, brotherhood). Just so so so heart touching and beautiful.
Absolutely hate:
* Too much "independent strong women" which is the most unfeminine and ugliest women. But all but one was so mushy in love and embarrassed and shy like a real feminine women in front of certain men was real nice. Which is true, lots of those strong aggressive independent and whatever else unfeminine characteristics you can find, are all things women do to hide their true mushy feminine nature because they're that shy.
* It's not even manly attributes in the women, they are making them insulting and hateful to others especially men. Like always calling stupidsta.
* I have no idea why they made so many "arcane stage" they should be the weakest to be good attractive women. Although Black Clover does good to still make the men the strongest, I really hope they end on this strong story of fathers and sons and brothers of strength and care and love for each other and mankind.
* Too much of this "women" stuff. Every time a women got stripped or attacked, that's when the cavalry shows up to save the her. Rather than save mankind. Hated that.
* Not a single woman was beat by a man, only other women beat women. While they had the opposite even disgusting cuck with a douche-bag like creature ruled by a female devil.
* Seeing this cuck men and manly women was disgusting. It didn't even add to the show. This show was made by the father-son relationship and brother-brother relationships.

This was good. I watch R rated animes with strong male characters saving the weak feamle characters. I really enjoy a plot with these characteristics. It led me to Words Worth.
Positives (without spoilers):
- This was war I really liked how the captive women were treated.
- I really liked the 20 year time gap.
Negatives:
- The biggest negative I have on this is that men were eating pussy, that's ridiculous no man does that, only lesbians do that, only douchebags do that.
- A negative is that some of the women were made to be strong. But she was weak in the end.

- Trying hard to keep spoilers out of this one: I really wanted to see the relationship after 20 years between the main male character and his female dungeon guest. I really wanted to see the love between them after 20 years because of Mew. I was disappointed the plot didn't cover this. I was disappointed they never showed who Mew really was to him.
- Another plot I had hoped for: After 20 years I really really wanted main male character to tell the women he was betrothed too that he wasn't in love with her anymore. And her 20 years of waiting would have been shattered. Because initially she was not into him and he was being so nice to her. There was absolutely no reason for him to love her.

This is an almost excellent anime for the trad community. I stopped watching at episode 6 (was long ago Ill have to figure out for sure) because I didn't want to risk watching more for it to ruin.
The female character is feminine, but not totally, her dad had no sons to carry his legacy so she wants to. She tries so hard, and in episode 1 or 2, in front of the strong male character saving her, her hilt breaks. Just as she says she is trying to make father proud. This is symbolic to show that the daughter cannot carry her fathers legacy, and

she now belongs to the strong male character in front of her, having to fully rely on him now with her shattered hilt, her last connection to her father.
I'm looking for recommendations like this.

I started watching this because I was looking for a good Mecha after the amazing Gundam Wing and gosh this show is so stupid. The men are playing the roles of bitches and bitches are playing the roles of men to a certain extent. The chicks still are still ditzy/pin-cushions (ie: the captain is blatantly obviously not captain material) and I chalked up the protagonists embarrassing lines and getting hit by chicks all the time to be him being the only stupid character, however other men also started saying womanly lines like "I'm ready for punishment" to chicks.... I place myself in the story. I couldn't do that here, the men here were so gosh darn bitches. Taking orders from chicks, getting hit by chicks left and right, and the men apologizing.
Un-freaking-believable. I stopped watching this show at episode 12, I can't believe I made it that far.
Going to go check out Mobile Suit Gundam 00 now, I hear amazing things about that.

I was looking for pirate stuff because they get the guy chick relationship right. Pirates just dominate the women. I find that very cute. Abuse is fine, but I like to see some saving. Superman kind of stuff. However in this story their ancestors were so bad these chicks didn't get any saving, which is fine. I really loved the story behind this. It was soooo short though. I really loved how Klaus betrayed the chick pirate and then back stabbed the princesses. Outside of that it seemed all scenes were on gosh darn repeat!!!!!!!!!

a story would make it nice. They are real close, they have domination by guys which is correct. I don't like that chick on chick crap in the usual animes it seems so unnatural. The guys doing the whipping makes total sense. I also don't like how in my typical animes the guys are such losers and they are always speecheless or getting slapped by girls. The domination on chicks is usually by other chicks which is so so gosh darn unnatural I can't watch it. So this show gets the guy to chick relationship right, in that sense this wasn't a bad show, it's just it needed to elaborate on the story and establish more of a realationship without so much repeated X scenes!!!
I am on lookout, where this man on chick relationship matches hentai but it's not about the X, it's about the relationship, guy saving the girls etc. if I come across something with awesome cuteness with story I'll share. Therefore I can only give this a 2, although this is a review from story watcher, so I think my rating might not line up with the average hentai reviewer.
The closest I find is in Hellsing Ultimate, the relationship of MC and his girl. It's so so cute. Dominating at all times and chick is infatuated at all times. Even given the opporuntity to get stronger then the MC, she didn't do it because she wanted him always stronger, which is so natrual and cute. (although if she did take the power her body couldn't handle it and she would have died but I digress) The MC is a brutal guy who takes care of her in a rough way. Very cute. But the show was ruined because they had some chicks in power positions even though they did nothing, but still, ruined it. I watched season 1 and it was decent.
My favorite is eraser, I hope his injuries actually make him stronger. All might is way awesome. I didn't know there would be more seasons, but I hope it stops at season 1 I don't want them to ruin it. The power shown by all might is ridiculous. It is really super cool.

for. I loved how All Might explained how it can't be inherited by anyone, and he has to train the body, making it very clear no chick can inherit it. So cute.
However there is some stupidity, like the whimp-iness of main character (MC) in his dealings with the girl he likes. He even lets her call him something that is used as an insult by another guy. And he lets her definition of it, guide him. Both of which is a huge negative on his growth as a man.

This was great but only up to and including episode 6/7. After that stop watching. The guys are super strong and dominating then they screw the power levels up. The guys become wimps and its about the girls. They don't show the true vampire or wolf power and show them getting beat by others including the girls feelings ridiculous. The OVA is so out of place, they don't even complete the big brothers story. Up till episode 6 it was so awesome, big brother took care of little brother, and unleashed his power. So awesome stuff.
