Ummm... Where do I start?

AOT is my endgame. I've never ever felt what this anime made me feel. Even after re-watching the entire series for a number of times. Even after knowing every scene by heart... I still cry (sob my eyes out), I still jump out of my chair in happiness, I still scream at the most frustrating parts of it. I’ve grown personal with this anime.

People who know me say that I'm crazy for loving an anime this much, but they didn't watch AOT to know better. I understand that not everyone likes AOT, but I encourage you to at least try ...

sheesh. they should add the romance tag on the genre listing.

i feel that this movie is wrong-titled. it is not a sequel, more like a side-story. its contribution to the main plotline is irrelevant, almost useless. but let's say, it has somewhat of a relevance.

we've got to taste more of the romance, the good in a world full of anger, sadness and fear. it was to detach our heads from the bad and see the beauty of the path (very poetic don't you say). the producers tried to get outside the norm, outside the typical post-apocalyptic stories, but i'm just sad for those people ...

i admit, i started watching this show because it has many similarities with attack on titan. but along the way, i feel like it detached from this angle.

yes, we can discern many characteristics seen in aot such as: main character’s family member dies by the hand of monsters, he gets the power they possess, vows to kill all of them and protect his loved ones. you even have the strong female character who has an attraction to the protagonist, the walls, some sort of “scouts”, so on and so forth. everyone gets it, koutetsujou no kabaneri follows the exact same basic storyline as aot. but ...

i've been having a looong existential crisis since i started this anime, and also a great thirst to watch continuously... let me explain why i consider this close to a masterpiece (but has yet to become one):

firstly, the story is bound to have a somehow the steadiest unsteady flow. when i finished watching the first season + the "frozen bond" prequel, it left me with a sour taste in my mouth, i can say. it left me with literal thousands of unanswered questions and theories left unproven. starting season two, after every (and i mean EVERY) episode something unexpected happened, adding more questions and mysteries ...

well, this anime was not my type. but even though it wasnt my type, i still liked a few things about it. (mini spoilers ahead)

one of them being the fact that the plot is slightly similar with darling in the franxx. the way it was portrayed really reminded me of all the emotions i felt when i watched darling. the finale as well (made me cry like crazy) was really surprising and better in some way. (not gonna spoil anything, but satan deserved that tbh)

another thing i liked about this anime is the sound. yes. in some moments i just was listening to the background ...
