UNDERRATED UNDERRATED UNDERRATED. I think it's very clear since all reviewers before me said the same thing. Certainly this anime deserves higher rating than 6.90. This anime has it all except one thing, great animation. It's not the best, but not the worst. I'd say decent. This is not action anime, so I don't really care much about that part. What I care is story and character. And this anime delivers. Relatable characters, heartwarming stories, great moral messages, very educational especially if you have or want to have a pet. I could tell from the poster and trailer that this anime is the new 'it' shonen anime of the season, so I had high expectation. Unfortunately it backfired quickly. Animation is great, art is good, ending and opening theme are awesome. But the big turn off for me is the ecchi. There are ecchi I can tolerate and not. If used wrong, ecchi can ruin an entire show for me, no matter how great or hyped the anime is. For example Nanatsu no Taizai. In this aspect, I think Undead Unluck is similar to Nanatsu no Taizai. Both MCs are way older than they look

I hate anime these days only focuses on battle / violent scenes but no significance on why they happen or how they contribute to the story line. They just there for the sake of the 'action scenes'. Much like hollywood hero movies.
THIS ANIME IS DIFFERENT. It's basically about fight between gods (idaten) vs demons. But it's not as simple as good guy beating the bad guy. The story background is well built. They have strong OP characters but also clever characters, so they actually use their brain and strategies to fight. Animation is superb: epic battle scenes complimented with dope SFX.
