Whether or not you view this as a standalone work, or a sequel & adaptation, it fails to hold up either way. The story and characters were never good, and that's fine, but it was an enjoyable magitech action show. This sequel, however, is way too much pretentious talking and not enough action. The sound is also some of the worst I've ever heard, it's like they gave a 12 year old a soundboard of just royalty free new-age music. I usually don't notice sound/music too much, but it really stands out how terrible the sound is in this show.

Interesting plot, decent developments so far. Not much to say, sort of cliched beginning, but they pull it off quite nicely. After watching Index and Railgun, I was looking for an anime that was as fun to watch as them. This one is easy to start watching, and is entertaining the entire time.
Story: The story is pretty interesting, and provides a nice basis for much of the action. Art & Sound: Easy to watch and understand, I don't particularly care much about them past a point but they definitely have decent animations and songs.
