The first episode sets up the purpose of the show by the end it is not resolved, wait for season 2. Animation is crisp and vibrant, very high quality and a fresh new style that is great for viewing. The show explores it's main topic of the idol industry giving viewers a more realistic view on how social, and business problems affect people working in the industry. The main theme of this anime is about healing and rebirth, so please don't write off the show because the main character is uncomfortable to watch because it is written deliberately for the viewer to see there is something wrong with the main character. You need to watch both part 1 and part 2 for the build up of the character development to pay off.
The main character is meant to make you feel uncomfortable and disgusted at time because they carry the same memories as their past life dealing with mental illness. Even the other characters in the show will point out how uncomfortable ...

Short version: WTF is going on...with sort of a reason.
Long version: Story is revolved around the life of a high school girl who is a NEET with the powers of god. There are other characters in the story however they are briefly or not developed at all. Some people may find it funny due to the fact that there is some serious WTF in every episode. However that is all the anime is. Mostly a bunch of random events jumbled together caused by the powers of the high school girl. If you watch Gintama you just might find it worthwhile to watch, and don't quote ...

It starts of with a decent mystery to the story. However that aspect is almost completely disregarded after the first episode, and becomes pretty much a one on one of the main guy protagonist and his girl lover candidates.
It is literally just an visual novel being animated or eroge or whatever this is based off. However the music accompanied to this anime is well done and the art is visually stunning, if not for this i would have definitely dropped this anime. This is 3rd movie in the rebuild series, however it seems that this movies follows an entirely different universe from the previous movies. First the 2.0 movie ended with Eva unit 1 going berserk, but 3.0 follows up 14 years later...
14 years! So of course during that amount of time some important events happen, but none of those events are reveled to us. The anime has the best art I've seen in ages though story and character development is very weak. The creators seem to make no effort as to explain the origin of the powers, the style of battle, and the idea behind these so called kings. The first episode give of a serious mood to the story which was well done, but every episode after that is some casual school events. the main character seems gay and all the other characters in the anime act very casual, with the exception of some character with mental issues. First to point out that this is not a mainstream anime like naruto, one piece, or bleach. I have read the manga, and my impression of both are pretty much the same.
It is an fast paced adventure set in a almost completely original world.
