The one of good things about MKR really is the characters. The three main characters, Hikaru with the power of fire, Umi with the power of water, and Fuu with the power of wind all have very different personalities and yet they are close friends.
And there are no infuriating characters.

Well I'm bias to the series a little because it was one of the very first animes I have ever watched. I really love it because it has a lot RPG-type elements. Also, it has schoolgirls casting elemental magic and wielding huge swords.
The Mechas are pretty cool, but they don't appear very often, and they seem more like a magical beasts than a mech to me.
The three girls all have a very strong and emotional bond to each other too, which is nice.
The storyline seems like a pretty typical RPG game but will surprise you in the end.
Also, the art is really good. All in all, if you like fantasy, you should definately watch it.

well i don't know if it's the same va i'll have to check on that
but what i meant that he was lacking something that the original had
i mean the voice doesn't scream "kouji " as much as the original which i think was the perfect voice for kouji
as for jojo killer queen is my favorite stand even though i'd have to agree with you that enigma is a rather intresting stand
i also like stairway to heaven a lot :P could prove useful in real life
but nothing beats another one bites the dust
as for the later arcs arc 5 is the worst arc for me " not saying it's bad just saying i like all the other arcs more "
both arc 5 and 6 aren't lacking in the bizzare part of jojo
heck i won't spoil it for you but you'll be really surprised when reading arc 5 and 6 " unless you had some idea about them if not than you're in for some BIG surprises "

What kind of experiences are you talking about? I almost got swept out to sea cause I was so tiny when I was little. Besides that I've always thought it was kinda creepy.

That's so weird, I'm creeped out by the ocean too. Ever since I seen one of those scary deepsea football fish mother fuckers...
It is unearthly in its horror.
Also, when you put your feet in the sand, the very earth seems to squirm beneath you. Waves constantly hit you in the face and it smells weird. And you can barely see into the water. How come that doesn't freak out any more people than us?
