Aisha Clan-Clan? I should add her to my extensive favorite characters on Anilist too and Ryoko as well if I haven't already. Aisha Clan-Clan was pretty funny sometimes.
It was cute watching her get offended when she was called an animal. Other than that, I would give Mimi a special thanks for being sweet enough to introduce Anilist to me all those years ago.
I remember when there used to be Spanish dubbed episodes of Tenchi Muyo somewhere on TV. That same channel that aired Lost Universe which is kind of like Slayers in space, made by the same novelist.
Aside from Copperhead and East of West, I'll have plenty of indie western comics left to enjoy. It would be great to see them get adaptations.
I hate it when conventional manga and superheroes get overwhelmingly, oversaturated market. Getting too much exposure too.
There are more indie comics than just Witchblade, Hellboy, V For Vendetta, Sin City, The Crow or 5th Element. I wish that more indie comics could get anime adaptation like Witchblade did.
It was also nice to see the Witchblade use her powers to protect her adopted child in that Gonzo adaptation. Like Jun from Devilman Lady, the Witchblade had to sacrifice something in exchange for power. Power and sacrifice is that theme they have in common.
I eventually found out that the Witchblade was originally a lady cop, but I like both that indie comic and Gonzo adaptation. More dedicated detective than the entire NYPD in real life. Bending the knee to corrupt bureaucrats and city officials in real life sadly.
Yes, Sara Pezzini is just as dedicated as a detective as either Agent Scully or Motoko Kusanagi (one of the reasons why I started crushing on tomboys).
Some of the indie comics that I discovered are the closest thing to that, manly. I'll read read just about any graphic novel as long as it's that.
Aside from that unconventional cyberpunk stuff, I'll be reading plenty of space western comics and that sci-fi genre suits my taste quite well. Especially East of West, even though it's dystopian western, but a new kind of sci-fi overall. I found out that it's pretty dark, but good enough for me. Like the darkest side of modern western.
You can say that space western is my favorite sci-fi genre. Yes! cowboys, outlaws or bounty hunters meets deep space. I also want lots of manly steampunk whenever possible.
I'll be check it out some time as I explore Arc The Lad 3 (great to see Tosh and Elk) and Tokyo Ghost.
I also can't wait to check out Private Eye which I think deserves an anime adaptation.
My Canadian penpal would love to see Romi Park get new roles. She's perfect for kids and tomboyish characters. Turn A Gundam may have been her first sci-fi role.
I haven't explored any Vtubers or their content yet. Assuming Rev says desu counts, trying to stay up to date with some pop culture or entertainment news. He sure encouraged me to keep my money away from AAA studios. I have officially grown out of AAA studios. Said first girlfriend your age from Ohio being currently Amish would have grown out of AAA studios eventually, simply because no talent!
Ubisoft sure got some nerve besmirching Japanese culture. Giving westerns a bad name in Japan besides streamers and influencers. Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty have all gotten stale over time. Yes, the novelty of such multimillion dollar franchises have gotten their novelty worn out. More worn out novelty than the cyberpunk genre.
At least the cyberpunk genre is changing its themes and motif. Breaking away from critique upon capitalism which is or was conventional cyberpunk tradition.
Yes, I prefer more unconventional cyberpunk like Transmetropolitan, Tokyo Ghost, Private Eye and so. Including anime options like Solty Rei (no ugly neon lights in the rain and generic plot revolving around corporate control like RoboCop) and Silent Möbius which don't follow the old cyberpunk formula like Blade Runner. I'll delve into unconventional cyberpunk comics after Copperhead and I would also like to read East of West, a new kind of western. That is, delving into alternative entertainment.
So yes! We don't need knockoffs riding on the coats of Blade Runner, Matrix, Akira, Ghost in the Shell or RoboCop. I prefer an adaptation of unconventional cyberpunk and the anime industry owes me a new Silent Möbius adaptation with QD's story included (introduce Aoi and her friends exactly like in the manga). QD came out in 2013 and still no plans to adapt it.
I prefer knockoffs for whetstones because they're in limited supply. Limited supply because of idiots around us that don't know how to take care of simple kitchen knives or tools.
As you can see, I put a lot of things over modern AAA slop, that high-budget garbage made by overpaid, overworked amateurs.
I was also wondering if there are any themes that you want to explore really badly.
Other than that, I'll explore more Duolingo and I'm as impressed as that Japanese Youtuber with the traditional Japanese outfit.
I hope that you had a wonderful Halloween Day.
I'll be delving into indie comics other than Copperhead (space western stuff).
My old chihuahua was born this month and she was the cutest dog I've ever seen since I was very young.
I finally got back slinging after five years. If only I had a lathe so I can machine steel bullets or flying mini footballs from hell, but I'm cool with just shooting rocks for now. Steel bullets penetrate better (especially when brine quenched), fly farther and fly faster in my opinion though. Better in everyway to conventional slingstones.
Yes, able to cause instant death like Horn Drill.
Anyway, I hope that Texas has the best aquapark ever. Everyone knows that cruising on water slides and doing cannonballs are awesome.
Other than that, my Japanese 101 lessons are getting interesting, but that's only the tip. Of the iceberg, that is.
Soon, I'll be able to master enough Japanese so that I can read rare manga.
