It's not that the quality is dropping but the characters are becoming generic and they don't appear as often.
It was good when Natsu was the legendary 'Salamander' and the only dragon-slayer, now there are several dragon-slayers and there are 2 Happys. Also some characters lost their appeal :
Mystogan, he used to be this allmighty ninja, now he is just a kid with several twin brothers (?) and so on...hopefully most of the new cast will die and it will back to the old Natsu-Gray-Lucy-Erza group :D

By season anime i mean basically on-going anime, like Bakuman or Star-Driver.
Both FMA manga and anime ended the same end, so Brotherhood is loyal to the manga until the end.
221...I think you are still on the fillers right? You could skip those and keep on going with the show but i don't really recommend you do it.

I had Tsubasa Chronicles on my Plan to watch list but i don't remember why i decided not to try it. Maybe because i felt like it was Sakura Card Captor but with less action and more 'gay' romance (xD) I don't read manga, but a friend reads Bleach and he told me about it, and it just really hard to avoid hearing about FMA manga.
Regarding my anime tastes, it's really hard to find something i don't enjoy, though i tried to avoid animes longer than 50 eps.
I'm watching 10 season animes per week and always a non-season anime, in this case im starting Clannad tomorrow.
FMA: Brotherhood is really a good anime, you gonna love it!
And why bother with Bleach? I kept on watching because i wanted to know how it was gonna end...but it just got worse manga wise, so i decided to drop it once and for all.
