PLEASE READ FIRST: I have not yet caught up on One Piece so my review is only for the first 141 episodes. Think of it as a first impression if you want. I'll rewrite my review every 150 episodes or so. Please don't get anal on me if you don't agree with this review, like i said, it's only for the first 141 episodes. I have not written many reviews so constructive criticism is always more than welcome.

Lemme just start off by saying if you have not yet started watching One Piece because you're intimidated by its size i would highly recommend starting ... it just to get a feel for it. It has definitely earned it's right to popularity. Plus you can always take it slow, there's no need to rush an anime if you don't have the time or ability to rush it. As for me i'm taking it pretty slowly, it took me three weeks to get to episode 141 and i've been taking a break from it for the past month but i will start watching again soon.

Story 8/10
One Piece is a story about Monkey D Luffy who is a some what dumb witty pirate on a quest to find the greatest treasure in the world, the One Piece, and become the Pirate King. You get to watch how Luffy gathers his own crew (nakama), gets his own ship and fight for nakama power. That pretty much sums up the amount of story i've seen so far. I gave the story an 8/10 because i did feel that it was very good and it gives the anime huge possibilities. Especially since this is a long time running shounen, the amount of arcs and character development they can do is almost endless. Thankfully there actually has been a decent amount of character development. I really can't wait to catch up to the series and honestly i've always loved pirates as a kid so when i heard there was an anime about pirates that was over 600 episodes i was like "oh hell yea!!" Only reason i took a break was because the pacing of the anime was just too god damn slow. Like the fight between luffy and Mr. 3 in the alabasta pre arc... omg no. too slow so no thx you. This is my main problem i have for the story, Oda Eiichiro is a genius but his pacing can be almost unbearable at times. My second problem is all the arcs so far have been extremely predictable. It basically goes like this; Luffy and his crew would go fight the bad guy and the bad guy's crew, they would beat up all the unimportant grunts of the crew and then there would be a few enemies that were actual threats and they would have to fight with Luffy's crew. Then when it was time to fight the main bad guy, everyone would wait for Luffy to come and kick his ass. That pretty much explains every arc so far. :/

Art and Sound 8/8
The art was pretty good for being as old as it was, i can't really complain to much because as One Piece progresses you'll begin to notice the art also progresses with the series. Nothing too impressive yet but i'm sure as i catch up i'll start to see the higher quality of the art and animation. The sound was pretty good, not too many memorable songs so far but there are one or two in there. That does not mean they don't have good songs! One Piece has songs that fit the situations they're placed in but unlike Fairy Tail or Magi the sound track doesn't really stick to me.

Character 10/10
Yes, 10/10 for the characters, Luffy is hilarious, he's honest and even though he's some what dumb, he has a true love for his nakama. Most people don't like nakama power in anime but i for one love nakama power, if it's a shounen and it doesn't have nakama power than it just doesn't feel right when i watch it. Obviously that's just my opinion, i know a lot of people hate nakama power with the passion but as a kid till now i've always believed in the powers of nakama. I like Zoro's character too because he's a total bad ass. He has three swords and he tears up every body with them. Nami is cool because even though sh'es useless in a fight, she's useful in like everything else from navigating to operating the ship. Usopp can go to hell. Chopper is amazing and i actually haven't got to the character development for nico robin yet so i really don't know too much about her so i can't say anything about her yet.

Enjoyment 9/10
I really really enjoyed this anime. It's funny and has a good feel to it when i watch it. It has a lot of nakama power and a good amount of action in it. The situations The Straw Hat Pirates find themselves in are hilarious. If only it wasn't for the pacing of this anime i would have rated it a 10 for my enjoyment. Cause honestly i can tolerate the predictability of the anime but slow pacing is a no go! Especially for longer series.

This is an anime that should definitely be watched by everyone. For the most part it's very good, the story is very original, and like i said before Oda is a genius. One Piece has a snowballing effect so the more you go the more it builds up and it will eventually turn to this giant masterpiece of snow and amazement.. that is very predictable with terrible pacing haha. No seriously though, i'm glad i started it.

I haven't written too many reviews so if you have any legitimate problems constructive criticism is always appreciated. And let me just say here that i rate anime based on enjoyment which usually comes from a good story... or ecchi but i digress. ;) There will be NO SPOILERS at all in this review. Moving on to the review.

Story 10/10
The story to Another was a story you couldn't help but appreciate because of its originality and creativeness. Two features most anime have been lacking these days. I'm not going to lie, i was a little skeptical when i started this anime mainly because of ... its size. I've seen plenty of anime with a decent story line that were only 10-13 episodes long, but i have not seen anything of the same caliber as Another. I was very impressed with this anime and what it did with 12 episodes. Plus it's been a while since I've seen a good horror mystery. I'm not going to lie though, i was hoping for some romance even if it was just a tad bit but the anime did find without it and honestly if there was romance in this anime it could have greatly affected the story in a negative way. That would have been totally un-worth it. The story (in my opinion) was perfectly written out. You'll have a good time watching Kouichi, Mei and friends as they try to solve the mystery.

Art/Sound 9/10
The art and sound were amazing. They balanced out in almost perfect harmony with each other successfully giving the anime a dark gloomy feeling at the times when needed. It really complimented the story and the atmosphere with this anime very well, so you won't be disappointed.

Character 9/10
Not going to lie, i thought it was pretty funny seeing the resemblance between Misaki Mei and Takanashi Rikka from Chuunibyou. Considering the characters are drastically different in personalities. The resemblance, however small, is still there. At first i thought the main character Kouichi was going to be a little bitch who was cowardly and useless but i was proven wrong. If anything i'm actually impressed with his actions looking at the anime as a whole. He was thrown into this crazy ghost story and was able to handle it the best a third year of middle school could. I also liked Mei's personality as well, although in the first episodes i thought she was a tad bit creepy. If you don't love her from the first episode you''ll slowly start to take a liking to her. I was impressed with her probably the most.

Enjoyment/Overall 10/10
THIS ANIME.. THIS ANIME... yes. Just watch it for yourself. I'd hate to ruin it with too much hype, but i personally loved it. i watched it in one shot and i started it at like 8 or 9 on a workday! i only had like 2 hours of sleep that night but it was more than worth it. I first heard of it somewhere on tumblr but i didn't bother watching it until my older brother pushed me into watching it. Everyone should see this anime at one point of their life even if they don't like it and think it's bad. It's one of those kinds of anime. ;)

This is an anime that's bound to get extreme lovers and haters, i for one am a lover. Some of you will shit bricks seeing i rated this a ten but please just know i haven't shit any bricks seeing people rate this 5 and under. For shitting bricks in not healthy, so please if you shit any bricks while reading this review go see a doctor immediately. Now moving on to the review...

Fairy Tail takes place in an imaginary world called Earth Land. In Earth Land magic exist out side of disney world as do mythological creatures. It takes place in more of ... a medieval time setting which is what originally caught my attention (i happen to have an undying love for medieval animes). How ever in this world of Magic only about 10% of the population can use magic, and most magic users join organizations called "Guilds" which a magic user can find various jobs given by clients who seek the help of magic users. The main guild in this anime is, you guessed it.. Saber tooth. Nah jk it's Fairy Tail :P

Story 8/10
Judging the whole story for all 175 episodes is a little hard because there are several arcs in this anime and obviously with the change of arcs there is a change of antagonist and character development for different characters. Although throughout the anime Natsu, the main male protagonist, searches for his father Igneel, a fire dragon... Natsu was adopted, who disappeared 7 years prior to the first episode.

Art 7/10
The animation was pretty ok but i've seen plenty of anime with better art than Fairy Tail.

Sound 10/10
i felt that the ost in this anime was amazing! champion of magic, dragon force theme etc, i found my self listening to the ost to this anime all the time. They have songs to fit almost every moment.

Character 9/10
I absolutely loved the characters of Fairy Tail. Like 80% of my waifus can be found in this guild and coming from a guy like me that has absolutely no importance at all. Screw it everyone in this guild can be my waifus most of the girls here are prolly into that yaoi shit anyways... nah jk. But on a more serious note the every main character seems to have a more unique personality to most anime except for Natsu. I admit he's one of my favorite characters of all anime but he isnt exactly the most original mc in anime for instance he shares a lot of traits that naruto from one piece has and luffy from naruto shippuden (tololo). Traits such as being an idiot at times but will save his friend/nakama no matter what. His level of O.P-ness (say that slower senpai) is really inconsistent through out the anime which is his only trait i don't like, you'll see what i mean once you complete it.

Yes, yes i did enjoy it 10/10. It was worth the watch, too long for me to re watch it by myself but if i was with friends id definitely re watch it ( i never re-watch anime like ever, only clips that held significance or watching the series again in dub instead of sub).

Overall 10/10
Over i loved this anime. I found myself laughing my ass off and on all the time and i enjoyed the fight scenes, the ost the character development and most of all the strong sense of family the guild members had for each other. Plus Mavis was uber kawaii desu ne. It seemed the farther you watched the better it got. So if you haven't watched i would start it immediately and if you didn't like it and rated it like a 3 because you were upset about everyone over hyping it or just legitimately didn't like it then that's your opinion and i respect it but let me ask you one thing... If you inflate a balloon and then deflate it and then turn it inside out and fill it with co2 and then attached it to hot air balloon while at the same time attaching the hot air balloon to an apple jet connected to a banana split submarine.... why are you still reading this lmao?

The best and easiest way for me to describe this anime is saying, "This was a beautiful anime in an evil, horrible way." Hence the reason i rated it a two, because 2 is labeled as horrible.

Story 8/10
I rated the story high because it in fact was an extremely original story. I had first thought this was going to be played out like your typical romance anime at first glance of the cover art but i was wrong. I dont want to spoil anything in this review so i won't say too ... much but my over all opinion of the story was well... damn.

I rated the art and sound an 8/10 but for this anime i feel it unnecessary to write an in depth review on them.

Character 1/10
When i say character i mean the main character and when i say 1/10 i really mean -9001/10. True men have a certain pride that helps us respect woman and our friends, but the main character of this story didn't have that pride and broke all the rules a man should set for himself. This was something i couldn't stand. Almost nothing gets me more upset then when i see woman being treated like items. I prolly would have kicked his ass if id have known him in real life, but in the end he learned his lesson and, you could say, put all the bad things in life in a bag.

Enjoyment 6/10
I rated it a 6 because although it was torture watching this anime because of the main character's actions, the story was original so i couldn't exactly predict this anime's out come as easily as other animes. I'm sure if the main character was less of an ass douche and more like typical main characters it would have been more predictable. So because this anime was successfully able to keep me on edge i enjoyed it a 6 instead of a 2.

Like i said in the first paragraph i rated this overall a 2 because this anime was genuinely horrible. I found myself cursing at the main character over a dozen times an episode and the ending really made me wish i didn't start this anime but in the end im glad i watched. Would i recommend this anime to anyone? Depends on the person. Would i re-watch this? Hell no. A message to the woman who watch this... not all men are like Makoto,in fact im going to start using his name as an insult for now on.
