I used to go to high school in vegas but moved to reno and was there for the last 20 years (I decided that I still loved vegas so moved back here) so I've worked in casinos damn near my whole life; only recently have I started working in an office. I've been applying for cocktails cuz I've done that since I was 21 but I've also applied as an admin asst/office clerk, etc. i've gotten a few interviews here and there but no 2nd call back :( oh well, i just gotta keep trying :)
I would also recommend reading Sanctuary and Jiraishin--both are really good manga but they do have nudity in them; if you like shoujo/josei, then read Nana (maybe I should ask what genre do you mostly like to read or watch before I recommend anything, lol)

i think it's pretty safe. i really don't recall any nudity but there is a lot of blood and violence (well, what do you expect, it's about a samurai, lol). it can be slow at times though but again, the art is what got me hooked (plus it's supposed to be based on a true story too)
so where do you work? I've been trying to find a job out here for about a month now and it's not as easy as I'd though it would be

i was just really impressed with the art in vagabond which is the main reason i want to buy it but i have to warn you that it's still an ongoing manga--there's 31 volumes but only 29 have been scanned

i think it ends at 21st century boys but that only like 16 chapters so it isn't too long. i finished 20th century a couple of months ago and going on to 21st century very soon.
i haven't been shopping around yet but i wanted to know where i could go before i went. there really isn't a lot i want to buy, it takes a lot for me to say i want to buy that manga but vagabond is definitely one i have to get

I really like Beserk too, obviously, cuz it's my top 5, but my favorite manga is Vagabond; the art is absolutely fabulous. this is one of the few manga that i want to buy.
I really wish they would do a top 10 instead of 5 cuz i wanted to put 20th century boys up there but i was unwilling to compromise any of my other favs, lol
btw, thanks for the info on where to buy manga; i'm going to check them out some time next week

I worked my ass off yesterday thought I'd share this with my friends.
Yesterday I spent about 12 hours!!!, yes I'm crazy, creating two polls for the new FALL SERIES coming out. Who new it would be so difficult, but their were a lot of pics and series/movies/ova's that needed further scrutiny to make sure that they were actually coming. Once series that is supposed to be coming out was Inuyasha Final Act. Moetron and other sites still have it posted as being released sometime in October, but the wikifansubs has it crossed out meaning it was dropped. Viz media has already licensed the series so they might actually be simultaneously subbing it for the net themselves. Moetron definitely has the best list so far with links to all the new shows, including all the movies and OVA's coming out. Check out "TO", watch the little streaming video, it reminds me a lot of Igloo.
