If you enjoy steampunk anime like Pumpkin Scissors, Steamboy, Fullmetal Alchemist, Valkyria Chronicles, or Attack on Titan then this will hit that spot too. As I stated this is a steampunk vibe with a magic twist. The two main characters of Hank and Nancy are pretty interesting and as someone who enjoys weapon/firearm technology I find the revolving rifle that Nancy carries to be very interesting. I was not a fan of the supporting character of LT Liza, she clearly is meant to be a bit of comedic relief and fan service through her sexualization which kinda brought me out of the more serious tones

Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho-bitch na Ken (My Girlfriend is Shobitch) is a rather typical Ecchi romance comedy similar to Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! (Uzaki-chan Wants to hang out), Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro), and such. It was enjoyable to watch and if there was a second season I would perhaps watch it to see how it goes. However this show is by no means reinventing the wheel or making any crazy changes that you could not see in many other anime of the similar genre. Akame ga Kill!

I originally saw this show several years ago and I very much enjoyed watching Akame Ga Kill. I’m sure many of the reviews and comments have already mentioned it but the first episode was a massive shock the first time I watched it and did a good job of showing me (the viewer) this was not going to be a simple fantasy adventure story for younger viewers. With a total of 24 episodes the story is well done and seemed to do everything it planned on. It didn’t seem like the story needed more episodes like some 12 episode shows I’ve seen and nothing appeared

Generally speaking when picking anime to view I’ll read the summary and watch the intro. For some reason I chose to do neither for this anime, and simply said “that’s a cool pic I’ll watch it” and 12 episodes and a week later I’m done with it.
I thought the first 50% of the show was boring for lack of a better word. It was not until they started explaining the background and why the main female character was the way she was that the show had any sort of interest. Sadly even the darker more emotional second half of this 12 episode show wasn’t enough ...

I first heard about “Domestic Girlfriend” from hearing the intro song on an anime music playlist. I am not a big Romance or Rom-com fan with anime but I chose to give this one and a few others a try. This 12 episode anime is by far the best out of the Romance genre that I have seen (as limited as that may be). The story is decently written as the characters are well developed given the short length of the show. When I first started watching SOA I saw tons of potential in the concept. The first story-arch of season 1 is great and set up well. The way the world was build both in game and out seemed believable for a near future setting. Some characters seemed far more flushed out than others and could have done with a bit more attention to detail.
