Steins;Gate is about a self proclaimed(Okabe Rintaro) mad scientist who creates a time machine. The time machine works by sending a text message back in time through the use of a modified microwave. He first does this on accident and the the text he sends a text that ends up saving the life of the successful young scientist Makise Kurisu as he saw her get murdered and sent a text saying so at the same time his right hand man was testing the microwave. She becomes curious about his time machine and ends up testing it along with him.
Story:
The story is spectacular. The pacing great ... and every episode makes progress. It is funny as has a grown up sense of humor along with just being silly. However the comedy it mostly only present in the first half. Throughout the first half the Future Gadget Lab(Okabe and friends) test the microwave by sending d mails or text messages back in time to test the machine, helping various character by sending their request. However like the butterfly effect kicks in and shit goes down taking the story for a dramatic turn and changing its genre from comedy to thriller. The character John Titor is based off John Titor(self proclaimed time traveler present in the early 2000s on the internet), and even SERN is based off CERN.
Characters:
The characters are all great. There wasn't a single one I was ever disappointed to see. They are all likable and unique. Their relationships with each other are all developed and fun to watch. With romance as well as the platonic friendship between Okabe and his childhood friend Mayuri. I especially enjoyed the friendship between Okabe and Mayuri as it's not often you such close friendships between two unrelated people of the opposite sex. The romance was well paced, fun to watch, and led to a lot of development between the two characters. It's not just them who developed though, all characters go through a good amount of development in the series.
Music:
The opening song for this is one of my favorites and really captures the feel of the whole show perfectly. The rest of the soundtrack however doesn't stand out that much, but it was still enjoyable.
Animation:
The animation is good and flows nicely. There really isn't any fanservice to speak of which in my opinion is good since it adds to the seriousness. The character all have unique and likable designs.
Recommended language:
Japanese or English both are good.

Shit. Anyone who thinks otherwise can't tell what a good work actually is. The story and characters are as flat as a loli's chest. The fantastic music and animation pulls you in and the idea of it keeps the simple minded and/or new anime fans watching and leads them into thinking it's most outstanding thing they have ever laid eyes upon. AOT/SNK is too edgy(superficially cool and dramatic) to be taken seriously. Edginess shows a lack in the creators ability to write actually well written darkness and mature characters. The mangaka for AOT is great at coming up with ideas, but terrible at putting them ... to action.
The characters in AOT are extremely basic, cliche, unrealistic, and edgy. All save Jean that is. He is realistically just trying to survive in the jacked up world everyone lives in by wanting to join the safe military police, and dislikes Eren because he's an abusive shitbag who can't go an episode without being an ass to Mikasa. He also goes through the best written character development. Of course most of this strange fandom hates him for this.
The most annoying thing about this show aside from the popularity it does not deserve is that the fandom somehow thinks(I have no idea where in Hades house they got this from) that main characters die. That actually important characters die. All the time. This just proves how hypnotized these people are. The people who die are not even secondary characters. Every character with more than 7 mins of actual screen time(relevant to the scene, not in the background) is still alive.
The only positive stuff I have to say is, the soundtrack is outstanding I recommend listening to it even if you don't watch it, and that the animation and 3d maneuver gear scenes are spectacular.

I recommend baccano to anyone who watches anime. It is very well written and extremely unique and is everything by Ryohgo Narita(the author of the books, which I read). The plot is basically in every story by Narita chaotic things happening to unrelated people that are all connected and will eventually clash into one huge chaotic situation in one place. This story has a unique atmosphere as it centers on American crime organizations in 1930s. Accents done amazingly by the dub cast really capture the whole feel of the great depression nicely. With the addition of supernatural immortals, homunculi, and wonderful ships baccano has something ... for everyone. The story following Eve is rather boring however, because it was adapted poorly due the drug centered plot in the 4th novel. The catchy jazz and extreme violence makes a wonderful combination of fun. The characters are unlike any others and so are their names. The ships will become your otps. If you want after watching book translations can be found online for free. Baccano is a 100% 10, a must watch show. Everything is adapted well but Eves stuff.
