'fan-fiction' oh gawd. To me, fanfics always equal overly-smutty out-of-character 'romance' attempts. I don't think I've ever seen one which was actually quality, tbh? Unless you count that one AOT doujinshi that was pretty amazingly done (and yet never finished :c).

Oh, I don't own any light novels either, actually - idk about the translations, but in my case it's simply because I can't find where to buy them for a decent price, as you said. I was hoping to buy at least the first couple of volumes at Comic-Con last month, but had no luck hah ;;

Izaya is probably my ultimate favourite, tbh. The reason I started watching Durarara in the first place was thanks to seeing a gif of him stepping on the cell-phones pfft >u<'' Turns out that smashing cell-phones isn't the only thing he's good at lolol

All I know about it is that it puts more focus on Izaya (which is very nice, though the cover of the light novel does bring up some questionable observations about what happened to him after the end of xKetsu), and that the kiddos in the main cast are trying to be ''successors'' to some characters? Like, some kids admiring and trying to be Izaya and Mikado? That last part is probably what puts me off from those tbh, haha ;;

In the later episodes you kind of start seeing some of the animation going down-hill, though - they really should've had a higher budget for this stuff tbh. :v

This is completely off-topic, but what do you think of the Durarara SH light novels? As in, the whole new-main-cast-woah thing?

Yess, you totally should (unless it being 1000% gay makes you uncomfortable or something lololol)~ The ice-skating is beautiful, and the characters are very interesting *^*
It's probably my favourite from this season, and that is even when including the sequels to my favoured series like Haikyuu or Bungou Stray Dogs hahah

But, it can also turn out to be unexpectedly fun to just watch the episodes whilst it's still on-going - especially when it comes to series like Yuri on Ice, that spawn a few new fan-theories after each episode lolol.
