A very chill and enjoyable anime with a fun hook. It's not as slapstick comedic as The Way of The House Husband, but it feels like it's in a similar vein of shows. It has some really interesting emotional beats between The General and everyone he encounters which gives everything a really wholesome vibe. It starts off a bit slow which is unfortunate as the first half of the season is basically "pandas are cute" so lets do everything possible with a theme of Pandas. While it was cute for two or three episodes, I think they overdid it in the first half which is ...

By far one of my favourite manga and anime series of all time. It's an adorable and gorgeous story of two hurt people finding love in both themselves and the many friendships they grow. If you want a tooth-rottingly sweet romance between a 'monster' and a human this is more or less the pinnacle.

This is not really an angsty romance anime though, so if you're looking for some sweet sweet romantic pain this won't be your best choice, but I still think you'd enjoy it for the many other reasons for which this anime is great.

If you liked series like Akatsuki No Yona (Yona ...

Preliminary (50/120 eps)
A deeply fun and heart-warming story of a kid with ex-machina god powers who would love to not have said powers. The characters are all fun and play off of anime stereotypes but in light-hearted comedic ways. If you love anime in all its wacky weirdness you'll love this anime and manga series. The story is somewhat episodic in nature but it all builds up the relationships between characters from Saiki barely tolerating his classmates to being tenuous friends with these happily oblivious fools. This series is a lot of silly jokes and slapstick comedy rounded out with heartwarming characters and character growth. I've probably ...

There are better romance anime out there. You could watch one of those instead.

A typical Cinderella-esque story where everyone hates and abuses the MC for not having the cool inherited family powers. Watching Miyo slowly gain confidence after being removed from her abusive family home was very nice. It's a very feel-good anime where the main characters are very one-note but maybe they'll get more development in later seasons.

I liked how they made the childhood best friend character flawed yet not possessive of Miyo despite crushing on her real hard. I think it would have cheapened his character if he was so selfish now that ...

Honestly not a bad reincarnation anime so far as the story is concerned, but the main character's multitude of sex crimes really drags it down. You'll casually go from scenes of this guy pulling of awesome magic in a new world where he gets a much better family and life, (which will be genuinely heartwarming to see) then you'll see him sexually assault a sleeping 9-year-old child. Yeah, that killed the dying horse for me. I understand he's a main character with flaws (mainly being a creepy dirtbag) but the anime revels in it to a disturbing degree.

I've seen a bunch of ecchi and ...

[No Spoiler Review]

Disclaimers: I only watched the first three episodes after blindly browsing anime on Netflix. I've never read or encountered the manga, nor heard anyone discuss this anime. This is not typically my genre (fighting for the sake of spectacle anime/tournament-themed anime) so my having dropped it is pretty much a given.

Pros:
- The visuals are very pretty, even if they're nothing exceptional
- The designs of each of the Gods are incredible.
- Brunhilde is cool and I regret not watching further simply to see more of her story and motivations develop.
- There's a hint of in-fighting with the whole second-class half-god/half-humans thing going ...
