This is definitely one of the most underrated Anime and one of the best (for me) ever.
Anime that involves a lot of magical stuffs (spell casting, staffs and such) always excites me and what Hitsugi no Chaika got me going was the incantation of spells Chaika did at the very first episode. With so much delight, I finished this series (up to the next season plus the OVA) for almost one whole day (started at around 10am? or afternoon) and finished the series around 7am the next day. Then the story went well as I was also looking forward on how they'd gather up ... Chaika's father's remains. Overall, everything is really well appreciated!
