Gintama is the best comedy anime I have ever watched. It's mainly a comedy anime, but it's much more than comedy. This anime is full of laughter, tears, action, and it teaches you good morals(sometimes lol). The story of Gintama might seem simple and a bit weird but as you progress more things are revealed and story grows much bigger than what it seemed at first. Art is not bad but it really shines when the cast of Gintama makes funny faces which you can see many details which I love. I didn't think the soundtrack of the anime was that memorable but it really ... grows on you after a while and plus some of the OPs are really good. The characters are the highlight of Gintama and what really makes Gintama what it is. All of the characters are unique like for example there is a stalker masochist, stalker gorilla looking guy, leader of a rebel group, a Chinese alien girl, a stupid alien prince and much more. Gintama was very boring for me for the first 20 episodes because there was so much characters being introduced and not many funny jokes that I didn't really enjoy Gintama but after much patience it payed off. When there are funny episodes in Gintama it's funny all the way through and has many parodies and references to other anime, Japanese media, and Japanese culture. I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants a lot of laughs, action, and drama.
