Note: [I have completed Ranma Half, so this review (like the one for Gintama) is not something I am reviewing BEFORE actually finishing the anime.]
Alright! Well I finally got around to re-re-re-re.... watching the first (original) season of Ranma Half. Gotta say, this season is pretty fricken amazing! :3
Noticed a few things about it this time around, though much of it was just minor details like Kasumi being into calligraphy! Dr. Tofu doing house-calls as apart of his Chiropractic practice. Just minor stuff that I didn't seem to care much about before... and by 'not caring much about' I mainly mean... 'did not notice
...
before!" lol
It hinted also in two places (the opening and the the Final Episode ... 21) that Ranma and Akane were never really meant to get engaged in the first place. At the end of episode 21, Ranma (although still in Japan) is in the process of going back to China to get cured. By doing this, he causes trouble for himself with members of the Tendo Family. Soun gets angry at him for leaving his "little girl" (Akane) and Akane basically just beats the shit out of him with a Bamboo Blade as a fare-well, get-the-fuck-out-of-my-life, present!
The ending lyrics to the opening (the original lyrics) say that Ranma and Akane should only remain friends.
This is how the series was suppose to end, but it continued, even though it was all just filler... in a sense... and bait. Making the series bigger of course was great though because the original series Episode 1-21 was clearly not enough lol.
PLOT: The Story is pretty good, it's funny, and it's entertaining. Basically it comes down to just the whole Jusenkyo Curse thing in China and Ranma's Engagement to Akane in order to become Heir of the Tendo Dojo in Anything-goes Martial Arts. Funny how these are the main PLOT THEMES of the anime, yet, none of them ever happen. XD So basically the Plot never unfolds. I still give it a 10 though because the whole guy to girl thing is pretty hilarious! XD
ANIMATION/ART: I felt that the animation/art was consistent through out the entire Episodes (1-21). It did go down a wee-bit during the Martial Skating Episodes but that's because they were originally apart of the season that follows after Episodes 22 and 23. Even though, the animation was still good. !! And the difference in art quality between Episodes 1-13 and then again from Episodes 17-21 when compared with Episodes 14-16 is subtle, but there is a noticeable difference.
Even so I felt that all of these 21 Episodes had pretty great animation, scene-time, backgrounds, etc. :D
MUSIC/SOUND: If there's one thing that will never get old to me when it comes to Ranma Half, it's the music in it!! The fighting music is really catchy, and the music that kind of goes with the environments like Sunsets and all that is really calming. :)
CHARACTER: I found that the Character Designs in Ranma Half are really creative. Many of the cast of the characters throughout the series are likable in some way.
OVERALL: I thought this [Original] Season of Ranma Half was easily a 10 in every way. Had Ranma Half been adapted with this SAME QUALITY (mainly in the area of its animation/art) throughout ALL THE EPISODES after the original 21 (22-161) this series would have literally been Over Powered x 9000! ... at least, to me! :D

BEFORE I START! I am actually caught up with the entire series for Gintama, so this is not a review of an anime on my list that is NOT completed.
Also, this review is only to be on the first three episodes of Gintama, which is a Special.
So, Gintama is one of those series that are just ... wow. This honestly takes first place out of all the bigger mainstream anime that I've watched. I even think Gintama is better than One Piece. :3
Gin-chan is a total bad ass for one. And he's not just a samurai warrior that is preserving the honor
...
of Edo, but he's also a fucking Otaku, this is awesome! :3
How many samurais out there are Otaku? This combines the love for martial arts an animation, two things that I like from Japan! ^^
So the special (Episodes 1-3) hit off first, and I've heard a lot of negativity about this Special. It's not even bad in my opinion. It had great comedy in it. Great action. (All of Gin-chan's action was awesome, even though the anime is not the heaviest anime on fight scenes that's out there.)
We have action right from the fucking start of the anime with the Amanto basically controlling present-day Edo, banning the honor of the samurai within it. We got Shinpachi and his sister (Otae) trying to preserve their fathers Dojo under these circumstances. I think the name of the Doko is the Kanjoku school or something, too lazy to look it up! XD
At one point Zura... oh I went there. Affirms to Gintoki that the fucking Space Aliens energized some surge input thing that runs through the Earth... why? You tell me!! These guys are CRAZY AS SHIT!!
It turns out that Gintoki, along with Shinpachi and Kagura are apart of some three-man unit called Odd Jobs, where they try to basically just make an extra buck here and there lol.
But when it comes right down to it, Gintoki Sakata is seriously one of my favorite male character designs. And with his bad-ass Samurai skills, and his philosophies on life which he materializes through his love for the sword, both the wooden one and the one that's unwavering within his soul, he's just too good not to like! :3
PLOT: Based on this 3 episode Special, I love the Plot. I could not give it anywhere less than a 10.
ART/ANIMATION: Love it!! Great art/animation quality! :3 It's a 10.
SOUND: I love the music! Especially during most of Gin-chan's scene-time! :D 10.
CHARACTER: Some of the best character cast in any anime! 10!
Enjoyment: 10. 10. 10!!!!
Overall: This series has EVERYTHING I look for! It's comical, it's action, it's tough, it's entertaining, oh yes! Anime like this... as an Overall... is just a Solid 10! :D

Holy Smokes! I've got one thing to say to start this review off: Where've I been these past 16 years!!
This movie is on the same ENJOYMENT RATE as Slayers NEXT. Except for different reasons, of course.
This movie had elements of Ranma, Dragon Half, and Magic Knight Rayearth in it! This was probably the biggest lure since whip creamed waffles! Seriously though, we had three Hot Spring girls in there with names that went with other classics! One of them went by the name Shampoo even!
Lina's scene-time back in her hometown of Zil... .. something other? XD was that of Ranma Girl-Type! And
...
as we already know, the Japanese voice for Ran-Chan in Ranma 1/2 is the same as Lina's Japanese voice. So it makes sense! :D
It was this movie that made me finally Dial In to the idea that Lina's flying spell (Raywing) is a combined name of both Hikaru's Rayeath Rune God and Fuu's Windam Rune God! :D Those are also my two favorite characters in Magic Knight Rayearth! ... Except Wing and Wind are not necessarily the same name... but... they are both Ariel names, right? XD
I have no idea who the blue-haired Gourry is, but am assuming he's a descendant of his? It was easy to call that he possessed the Sword of Light when he was holding it as just a hilt! :)
Basically with this Movie, I continued to make calls in it left, right and center. Another reason why it was a Masterpiece to me. I am not in sync like this with just any anime haha! Another time was when the Sage dude was telling Lina about the Fountain of Growth. ... Keyword, "Growth!" XD
Oh, and speaking of the Fountain of Growth that shape shifts the person who plunges into it, anyone know what this sounds like? XD
Lina's spells looked great in this series. She had a lot more ways of casting the Fire Ball, spells like the Dragon Slayer (Slave) had a different spell casting chant, which was also really catchy! Lina's apparel looked great, too! More like the manga!
Naga (Pronounced Nahga) was like the Kodachi Kuno of the series haha. She was great! I knew Slayers had been missing the spark of a good rival character in the three seasons of the original series. she seems to have an interesting type of magic, too!
I think there were two or three moments in total that made me go into critiquing mode though lol. One was when the Sage dude was talking to Lina in the house... the scene kind of repeated itself there, and it wasn't because it was the half way point or anything lol. Kinda made me think that I accidentally clicked on the computer screen and made the episode skip back or something lol. Another time was when the Sword of Light from blue-haired Gourry fell right in front of him. The animation there kind of felt off to me a bit haha. There were also moments where the Reptilian Boss grabbed the Sword of Light BY ITS LIGHT-BLADE with his hand! That's like reaching out and grabbing a Light-saber by its blade! IMPOSSIBLE!
But ya! :3 It got an Overall 10! Because it was Super-Great! :D

Okay, so I have of course seen all of Sailor Moon, but I am really just going to be sharing the first season in this review.
Summary Plot: Sometime in the endless past, well... 1000 years according to the Canadian dub, there was this Kingdom on the Moon called Silver Millennium. It was ruled by Neo Queen Serenity, she ruled this Moon Kingdom by the power given to her by the Goddess, Selene. Her daughter shared the same name as her, and was the Princess of Silver Millennium, Serenity, who, in the present time reincarnated as the crybaby, Usagi Tsukino.
Usagi is a 14 year
...
old girl who goes to Juban Middle school, which I believe is a Tokyo district of Japan or something along those lines! Usagi, as mentioned above, is a bit of a crybaby. Undisciplined AF! Hardly ever pays attention in class or does well on her tests, because she likes to daydream about romance, anime, and Arcade games.
One night, while she was taking a nap on her bed, a mysterious black cat appears, by sneaking in through her bedroom window. This would have been a startle in itself, but this cat starts speaking to Usagi! Which makes Usagi think that she's still asleep, and that this encounter is just a dream she's still in.
The cat, who reveals herself by the name Luna, tells Usagi that she is the chosen heroine who is to become a Champion of love and justice, called Sailor Moon, to: 1.) Locate the 'Princess', and to: 2.) Locate the other Sailor Guardians that will work with her as a team in this mission, all the while protecting the planet and Japan from the dark forces of evil, from an alien race of villainous entities, that operate from the shadowy labyrinths, called the Dark Kingdom.
Art: Sailor Moon has a personal art style that I am attracted to with those 90's anime, but it is still a bit outdated, so it did not get as high of a rate because of that, but it is still really good for its time! :3 And even though Sailor Moon was remade, I still actually prefer this art style over a lot of the new stuff.
Sound: Same as Art in that it got the same rate. I actually enjoy some of the music for the Canadian Dub version of Sailor Moon over some of the original Japanese music that's in it. This would include the original theme that plays whenever Usagi throws her Moon Tiara.
Characters: I personally love the character cast in Sailor Moon. They all add a unique quality in their personalities to the series. Usagi with her clumsiness, high spirited, and positive nature. Ami with her reasoning skills, sensibility, logical and organized way of thinking, while having shyness in her personality. Rei for her psychic senses and intuition, and her fiery forwardness. Makoto for her strong, not easy to push over, dominance. Minako for her ... well, she's actually just a lot like Usagi in a sense! XD ... and so on and so forth!
Enjoyment: This series got the highest rate for Enjoyment for me personally because of the extent of creativity this anime has in its story and characters. And because there really isn't too many series out there that I have put this much time into as I did with Sailor Moon!
Overall: I gave Sailor Moon an overall rate of 10 because of everything I said in the Enjoyment section, but also because this anime goes back with me, just like it does with so many others!~
