As all are hypocrites , does your hated of others extend from hatred of oneself? I assumed hated of others would make you want to rise above them rather than promote indolence. How old are you? Do you know what you want to do in life? Where do you live?
You are right about parents being hypocrites as they will bat an eye to anyone that isn't their own kin, even though their child is a just random occurrence.

Would you recommend hyouka? The aesthetics are beautiful and I love the main girl's eyes and design.
It wouldn't invalidate you as a male unless you thought gay men were inferior. You would invalidate yourself as a human if you denied having sexual attraction to someone as hot as shiina. I also loved sakurasou's colorful atmosphere and character as well as the idea of trying to succeed despite one's emotional or mental problems. It is also why I loved bakemonogatari.

I don't know if I favor a certain genre, but I prefer stories with energetic characters and relatable drama as well as colorful art and pretty character designs.
