We got jebaited everyone.
I dont know what to say, I went in positive but I couldn't the feeling of' "something feels off". And I think it can be pointed down to the plot and its progression and sound and music composition and the script.
1. the plot feels extremely sluggish yet characters advance at such a fast rate. the black hair girl just decides to be a detective in one episode is...whatever and he mentions all the cool shit he does with siesta, like, LETS SEE THAT COOL SHIT, I hope we get flashbacks of them or something because it feels like a lame after

story at the moment.
2.&3. the sound and composition. this is what most people have realized is why they find the show so awkward. So many silent scenes without a good soundtrack to add to gravity of conversations for more emotional weight, the characters just sound so dead and nonchalant like they aren't trying and the script itself is weird because (yes this is fiction) but no one talks like this at all and the music is extremely basic anime sound bite.
Art - was good in the first episode, they vet really made any stylistic scenes like I the first episodes but they could be more to come.
Characters- are so far flat and boring and my Enjoyment of it is....fine.....I find myself dragging through episodes and getting bored because it isn't engaging, this is where that good soundtrack would come in to keep me involved or just better dialogue overall.
I dont really see this getting better, Im not hating on the studio as they are new but they seems to have sound and composition problem along with script issues as there other works aren't that great either. Im going to read the light novel instead and ill drop the anime so it doesn't spoil what will happen when I read the novel which I've heard is really good.
The thing is this story has such huge plot and story telling potential, im no master writer and I get that "the detective is already dead" schtick but I feel right now that its very lackluster and I dont want to ruin a potential 10/10 novel experience

Quickish review
Story - the story and plot and rent a girlfriend is non-existent, their is no goal except for Kazuya to confess, which by the time he will...Hunter x hunter will start publishing again. This manga is a stall and feels very stagnant, if your anime only and want to read the manga, you could quite literally skip to the newest chapter and it would be as if you picked up where you left of, the characters never developed so don't worry about that, Kazuya hast confessed either so were not at the climax (so nothing to look forward too), there is almost no enjoyment

because every chapter feels like stalling.
Art - the only redeeming factor of this manga is the art. It is very unique and from a glance is easy to tell win manga it belongs to, which is very good thing to have. The anime also did a really good job with the art and makes all the characters look vibrant and standout with distinct lines.
Characters - Garbage, utter garbage. I haven't seen this bad of characters in a while. First, the garbage, loser, soy boy MC. Kazuya has to be the worst MC in modern times and makes the bog standard dense harem MC look goated. He is a pussy to say the least. He never knows what he want expect that he wants to confess to Mizuhara which as mentioned before seems like is never gonna happen and even when it does Mizuhara who Is supposed to mature avoids it.
Mizuhara is the worst girl next to Mami. if you ever dealt with a "mature girl' irl who is around 18-19 and acts like everyone else is kids and se is the only adult but still is immature you have Mizuhara.
Sumi is the best girl, there was actually development for her, but it seems good characters dont belong here cuz I dont where tf she is. Rika is arguably the actually "best girl' and is actually the only one trying to driving the plot forward. and then Mami is Mami she is same from the anime.
enjoyment - just decent, varies from person to person

I love this manga already. With TWO, yes, TWO MCs-the potty humor mixed with great characters and outstanding detailed art sets up this manga to really be one of the greats. The humor in this manga is great and I dont usually seek out comedy manga but I was surprised to find myself laughing numerous times.
Story - the story is pretty barebones as of now, I suspect the two MCs will grow closer as we see if takakura ken are the same person and see how that side progresses and their relationship on a whole. The first arc was hilarious and very good, as the

characters are trying to receive one of the MCs..thing. The fights are crazy as well, it kinda reminds me of chainsaw man levels of weird minus the devils at least for now, we may see more enemy types.
Art- What can I say, Its outstanding and very different and very detailed, the panelling and positioning is also fantastic, I hope it holds up well.
Characters - The girl MC is a type of gyrau-ish girl, but thankfully she has no basic traits of the gyaru type. The male MC is a shy nerd into the occult named after an actor the female MC is in love with. The characters allow for comedic moments and bounce of each other real well. Its always a very good thing the the MCs are likable but in this case we have 2 likable MCs.
Enjoyment - Extremely fun to read if you see my profile you will see the type of shows that derive enjoyment from me, enjoyment is subjective but I can say if you liked chainsaw man and other weird manga, you will enjoy this.
Im excited for what to comes and hoping it gets an official English release.

This has a extremely similar art to quintessential quintuplets and vibe. Very generic girls and situation so far, hasn't done anything bad per say as of the time of writing this but its just....fine for now, I see others rating this a 10 which I find hilarious but I guess everyone really does have different taste eh. The girls have very generic archetypes but will most likely be more fleshed out as the story progressing but you have bog standard tsundere, big tit air head and one that has a bit more character I guess she is what you call an imouto or something like

more touchy with the mc but she also is shown to be very athletic so we may see that side of her come out more.
TL:DR is very new and doesn't have any sort of standout beginning so I can't give it a high rating but if you like quintuplets you may like a this by what others have said and the very similar themes between characters.

If your reading this you have probably already watched the anime so you already know how good it is so I'm going to cut to chase and say my only negative is the horrificly confusing panels, trust me there will be some panels and pages where you won't understand what the fuck is going on its jumbled and undetailed as if its going for a pastel or maximalistic approach, it is very hard to discern creatures, objects and actions which makes the anime 100x better, the manga obviously has more character detail and aspects as it is the original but the anime makes it so

much clearer what is actually going on and gives a more adventurous feeling as it makes the abyss feel more lived in with its colors and creatures making noises in the background.
Basically the story, characters and enjoyment are so good it somewhat makes up for the lacking art and the thing is the art isn't even traditionally bad the main cast of characters are drawn greatly but the composition is a time awful.

I always had this manga and my to read but never got around to it but after I watched the first episode of the anime, I had to read the manga as I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next and before I knew it I was chapter 98 within the first night of reading it unable to contain my excitement to read more the next day, this is one of the best rides in a manga I've had and my favorite shounen manga I've read and I don't particularly like shounen battle manga.

most important thing to me when experiencing any medium, if I dont like or find too many characters boring, one note, overly tropey and most of all annoying I will won't enjoy it all, so I can proudly say this has an amazing cast of characters. You won't just end up having one favorite, you will end up favoring many. Also Takemitchi is a "crybaby protagonist" done
absolute right, he reminds me of young Naruto without the contradictory actions/plot contrivances, you will always be rooting for him. I despise characters deku, so I was surprised that even though he cries a lot it didn't annoy me even once.
Art- the art is amazing, the character design are super unique and the characters are dripped out, fashion in this manga reminds of how different It feels when in anime for characters to look cool in clothes and not some cartoony costumes and the same high school uniforms. The art expressive and I never misunderstood what was going on in a panel.
Enjoyment-10/10 what can I say. Enjoyment is subjective but if you look at my list you will find what I enjoy and I've already explained in my first paragraph how enjoyed I was reading it.
Story- I think the story is incredible. Every time he goes back and forth into the future it may seem redundant at first but when It is explained why with context of the arc that happens after he goes back will make you say "ok I see why now". The MC always felt to me like he was progressing, some say he doesn't grow but I think its obvious that one of this manga's themes is that not fighting alone that makes someone strong, its their will to never give up and care for others.

Short review
-the characters are weird In a bad way in the beginning through to the middle
-the pacing is awful and the plot is almost nonexistent the only real story was the beginning and after chapter 65
-the setting is basic, the storytelling and stylistic approach is extremely abstract
-I'm not sure but I think the story tries to portray mental illness, which if so, is done very poorly. You hear that this manga "breaks people" but I didn't feel any sad emotion from this or any like pity for any characters, basically I didn't feel anything except for pure confusion for bulk of the story

and Im usually able to tell what something is trying to say/portray.
-If u dislike bitchy MC, that cry a lot akin to deku, your not gonna enjoy this guy, one of his main traits is that he is a momma's boy with a lot of incesty moments, his character doesn't change much until the chapters I've mentioned above.
-the art is fantastic
-the story gets muchhhhh better after about chapter 65 when we start getting answers into the characters perspectives and how they feel, everything until around chapter 65 feels like your reading something on shrooms. I felt like I wasting my time reading everything between like chapter 20-64 and that it could've been condense into 20 or so chapters.
All of this is my opinion btw. If you are reading this review your are most likely into dark, psychological manga so I would refer to shounen no abyss or oyasumi punpun which is far better at portraying characters and plot progression.
