Demon Slayer Movie: Mugen Train has a really good animation style (very modern) that depicts the main characters going onto a train then meeting Rengoku to then discover that a demon has been tormenting this train's previous passengers. Throughout the anime it is very engaging and doesn't get boring!

I very much enjoyed it as much as much as the anime series, in some bits the art style can seem choppy which was very unusual but it really suited it.

If you have already watched the Demon Slayer series I highly recommend it and only 2hours is definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
"This is a strange title. Who the heck in their right mind would watch something that sounds as stupid as that?" How many of you guys initially thought that while looking at this title? (I did.) This is a real title for a real anime movie. I'm not joking. To be perfectly honest, the title is the sole reason why I didn't want to check out this movie at first. (I wish I hadn't done that now though.)
I want to eat your pancreas is one of the best movies I've seen in a long while. It's also the saddest one I've seen.
...
(It's sadder than Your Name and A Silent Voice. No one can change my mind on the matter.) Now how exactly can a movie about someone eating someone's pancreas be so good? Well to be honest I guess it has to do with what the actual title itself entails. This movie doesn't actually have anyone eating anyone's pancreas. (thank goodness) It just has someone using that as a literal term for an example. (I forgot what they call that in Literature terms. I this case they use it to wish for good health while passing down old folktales etc.)
At the beginning of the movie, we see a bunch of people at someone's funeral. Then we see a lot of people crying. (Well that's bound to happen right? It's a funeral after all.) After this we see a young man named Haruki Shiga who's in his bedroom thinking to himself about recent events that went down and talking about the girl who he randomly met a while ago. (When this happened I kinda put two and two together and took a guess that she was the girl in the photo at the funeral.) The movie then shows how Haruki and the girl (Sakura Yamauchi) first encountered one another.
Haruki isn't a very social person. He likes to keep his distance from others and he is always buried in his books or schoolwork.
One day while Haruki was walking in a hospital waiting room, (I forgot why he was there) he comes across a strange little book that he finds on the floor. After picking it up and reading a tiny bit of the contents inside of it, he discovers that it's one of his classmates' diary from school. He also finds out that his classmate (the very popular Ms. Sakura) is hiding a fatal illness and secret from the class. (She has a pancreatic disease that cannot be cured very easily.)
In an attempt to keep her secret under wraps and make sure that no one finds out that she's severely sick, Sakura asks Haruki to keep everything he saw and heard to himself. He agrees and then says that he doesn't want anything to do with it anyways. Sakura becomes interested in him because of his response and asks if they can become friends. From then on the two start to hang out more and become a tad bit closer with one another. She slowly but surely changes him for the better and he slowly but surely starts to rub off on her a bit too.
Sakura promises that she'll tell him when it's time for her promised day to come (she tells him that she'll let him know when she dies) but that promise is broken unwillingly when she's found dead at the scene of a crime on tv. (Haruki just happened to be looking at the news when it happened) Haruki drops everything he's doing, goes upstairs and then huddles up into a ball onto his bed. This is when the movie starts to correlate back to the beginning and we now see why he looks and sounds the way that he does.
He later goes to Sakura's house, sends his condolences to her mother, and then reads a letter that was addressed to him. (It was written right before Sakura passed away and explains all of the things that she kept to herself or never said aloud to him.) In the letter, she tells him that she doesn't regret meeting him and that what they had was special. She thanks him for all that he's done and she tells him to make friends and change for the better no matter what. It is then that Haruki asks Sakura's mom in a calm voice while he puts his head down, "Mam is it ok to cry now?" and starts to wail like crazy.
To be honest I didn't see this plot twist coming. Sure it was expected that Sakura was going to die (and I thought that I wasn't gonna get all emotional since they gave away the hook, line, and sinker at the very beginning) but I never would've thought that she'd die in that way. (such a harsh way to go, being murdered a by a random dude for no reason at all that is) I think I related to this movie a lot more than any other anime movie I've seen so far. Probably because Haruki reminded me of myself. This is definitely one of those movies that you can't judge by its cover. I highly recommend watching it especially for those of you who enjoyed Your Lie in April. (It has a similar premise to that) Just be prepared for some waterworks at the end. (or maybe not, idk)

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
"Five centimeters per second. Hmmm that's an interesting title." That was my initial thought before watching this anime movie. For a very long time now people have been recommending this movie to me. I put it off because I didn't really see anything interesting about it or really know much about it myself. The only thing I knew about it really was that it was one of Makoto Shinkai's earlier works. (The same guy who created Your Name, Weathering with you and all that other good jazz.)
So I finally gave it a shot and you know what, I regret doing so. This

movie had to be one of the most lackluster movies I've ever seen. It felt like it was just a last moment ditch effort or a failed attempt at something. I don't really get why Shinkai chose to show this in short story format. Maybe he thought that this would be a more interesting way of conveying a message or maybe he just wanted to make it unique and whatnot. In my opinion, that was a huge mistake on his part.
This was yet another film that was driven by the narration of the main character. (This time it's a young male though and not a young female.) A young man named Takaki Tono monologues to himself about his past experiences with him and his former love interest/childhood classmate. (Akari Shinohara) He explains how he and his parents' job always caused him to move from place to place and that he never really could make many friends because of this.
One day, he meets another transfer student. The two aren't very talkative at first but they both hit it off pretty well after a while since they both like books and both talk about how tough it is moving around so much. After a while, Takaki receives some startling news. Akari tells him over the phone that she'll be moving away at the end of the elementary school term. Both of them get emotional and accept the fact that they won't be able to see each other again after that.
A few yrs later, (I'm still not sure if they were in middle school or highschool at the time because their ages don't match their appearances from the looks of things.) Takaki receives a bunch of letters from Akari telling him of how her life has been and what she's up to. After reading her most recent letter, Takaki writes her back and tells her that he'll finally be able to see her in person soon. When school ends, he hops on a train in the cold at night and rides all the way to where she is. When he finally gets there several hours later, (the trains he rode were delayed back to back because of heavy snow.) he breaks down in tears and she does the same. They then talk for hours and Takaki breaks the news to Akari that he's moving again (and very far away at that) and the two then fall asleep.
The very next day Takaki says that he knows deep down that he'll never see her again but he wants to keep her safe because he loves her. Sigh......I just didn't really care for most of the things that happened from this point on tbh. (This is where the story breaks up into two more short story parts.) Maybe because I was slightly confused or maybe because I was pissed at the fact that they seriously never met up with one another again. All I know is that I just didn't get this whole movie. Why introduce a whole love interest story and then just dump it aside like that? Why show another potential love interest (actu two if you count the girl at the end with the glasses who used to work with him) but then just make the girl end up with a broken heart and regret? Most of all, why show the main character dude in his daily life later on being lonely all by himself?
We see hints of the fact that he got an office job and that he basically became somewhat depressed. We also see that Akari moves on and even gets engaged. Im sorry but I just wasn't digging these parts of the movie. Actually scratch that. I think I wasn't digging the whole movie from the getgo. The way that these two interacted throughout the beginning of the movie just didn't feel all that touching or realistic enough to me. Even the romance scenes felt rushed and unbearable for me to look at. All in all, I don't recommend this movie. I wouldn't rewatch it again even if you paid me to do it. (Oh and p.s. the only reason it's called five centimeters per second is literally because of what his former love interest told him at the beginning of the movie.)

Blade of the immortal is a Japanese manga series by Hiroaki Samura. The series is set in Japan during the mid-Tokugawa Shogunate period and follows the cursed samurai Manji, who has to kill 1000 evil men in order to regain his mortality.

Rin and Manji are almost constantly under attack and must learn to live their lives, avoiding being consumed by revenge.
What caught my eye was the art styles followed by the mangaka in this masterpeice.
Its definitely something else when you compare it with all those other mainstream manga.
If you love to read manga that's got a classic touch to it, this is the one for you.
It follows the charecter designs of all those early 19s manga that's got a niice nostalgic feel to it.
I myself am a fan of old manga and i found this one so similar to vagabond

[WARNING SPOILERS]
It has been a long time since we have seen any black lagoon and I'd like to say that it was well worth the wait. It's a shame that the franchise doesn't get the proper respects over in Japan.
This 5 epsiode arc brings back all the magic of the first two seasons. With its maniacal string of cast members and dark and dreary storyline it leaves the viewer a little bit violated but mostly satisfied.

sane whilst trying to save Roberta who has gone astray. I also like how Fabiola keeps her resolve not to kill anyone, even though Revy pressures her numerous times. They are by far the strongest characters during this arc in my opinion.
The problems allthough minuscule are glaring as it takes away certain elements from the charm of the original series. For one Revy shoots her guns maybe once and is demoted to a mere side character at best. There is too much focus on all the crime syndicates and not enough explanation as to why they are fighting when they should be hunting Roberta.
Now it might just be the way his character is developing but Roc goes hardcore psychopath for most of the series and it almost comes out of nowhere. It is not a bad thing but I sure hope that he will return to his old self. Personally I think his calm righteous demeanor is his greatest quality and asset to the team.

All in all if your fans to the series this is a must watch. Even if you haven't seen any of black lagoon this is a good place to start (although you might not know some of the characters, but it's not relevant to the story). Hopefully there will be more from the black lagoon franchise to follow, until then.

If you are looking for action and nothing else, then Black Lagoon is the perfect anime for you. Unlike any anime, this show actually features what normal people has to do to survive in real world. It is a kickass show which depicts that in the face of death nothing is important than your will to live and survive. life situation. The story at the start is kind of seem like random since the anime start directly with the action without much of introduction. But as growth of story began, one after another the story starts to get clear, making it a remarkable experience.

Synopsis:-
Even though the story starts with Lagoon company taking a job for hijacking a boat in the Eastern China sea and how it end up in a whole bloody mess, this show in general, is about modern day pirates where they had to survive in this harsh, wild world which has been done in a marvellous way. Also it has the touch of 90’s action flicks with the modern world twist which makes you love it. Also the background of the story has been kept as wild and realistic as possible making it a wonderful dish which makes your mouth water. Also this show has a wide variety of characters ranging from Pirates, Mafia, Triads, Army Veterans, Neo-Nazis and other characters with their own choice of guns and weapons. This particular anime contain a lot violence, blood shade and lots of action along with drama making it the most interesting kill or get killed anime out there. Even though this anime is deliciously vicious, but none of the violence comes without purpose. At first it might appear to be the show that revolves around the character Rock but as the show progresses it has nothing in store but surprises. Black Lagoon only contains about 12 episodes but that is enough to make you carve for its more episodes. Also the story is presented in the raw fashion about the business of pirates in their deprived states. Each story lasts or continue for at least 3 episodes with lots of action in it. Also it might sound over exaggerated but from time to time Black Lagoon is also funny along the line, due the body language and the way in which the characters talk. It is the most unadulterated anime presented in the wildest way possible making it one of the epic pirate related anime’s out there.

Also all the characters in this anime are memorable and well explored with characters like Roberta which is a T-1000 in maid suit (Last reference is with bombs). The anime contains characters with wide variety of personal traits and their own choices of guns and weapons. This anime along with sleek action sequences there are deliberate character development at the exact perfect timing which is otherwise neglected in other action series. It can be called a madhouse of modern classic with balanced amount of action and drama making it a common reference for such genre anime. Even though this anime consist of action of blazing guns, blood splashing everywhere and cut to throat action along with fast paced drama this show through their characters have successfully depicted the brutality of the world and explicitly show how the corruption of the human psyche drives people towards resorting to morally questionable actions. For example Revy’s coldblooded approach about killing people is due to her tragic childhood. Among the characters the most likable are for example the ex-marine Dutch, gunslinger Revy and others. Unlike any other anime this show has really strong female characters which are most of the time missing from others other anime shows.
Also it might seem that this anime consist only of violence and bloodshed but that is not true. The frequent clashes between Rock and Revy with their polar differences, personal opinions and morals also makes it interesting from time to time. This friction between these characters in turns keeps each other’s sanity intact and bring them closer. This invisible bond among the characters makes even an insignificant event highly appreciable like lighting the cigarette making it very special. The most interesting thing about Black Lagoon is its characters personality traits are very good for their well tune chemistry with just the right amount of spice. Also the characters are kept as realistic as possible. There are no flashy moves but this originality makes it one of a kind.
Although there is not much of the criticism for Black Lagoon, but only drawback is its blurred ending without a finish. Most probably as it highlight the development undertaken for the second season or can be reason was to leave it on the higher note. Apart from this there are not many flaws in the story and also it demonstrates that if you have strong characters to back up the story then a show can still be a hit. The background music is good with opening and ending songs. Also the animation and characterisation are this anime’s strong point. But more importantly this is rawest, wildest and most importantly the badass anime dared to be produced by any anime production house. For Black Lagoon it gets 9 out of 10, for its originality.

Synopsis:-
After a crushing defeat at the national contenders, the Koto club must pick up the pieces, lick their wounds and get back into action. The club is now more determined to train than ever, but a lot has changed and the club has attracted the attention of some very talented Koto players. Opinion:-
This new season was very good and in terms of it’s important moments. I can safely say that all were handled extremely well. Unlike the first season this anime has a much different theme to it. Season 2 is more about self improvement. It’s about looking at something about yourself and say ‘that could be better’ and that happens in all the best ways. This one introduces a couple of new characters that I thought we're great. Now some people have regarded the grandma as a villain. The grandma is more of an antagonist. She's just kind of mundane and in the way. She tried to get in the way but I love the fact that everyone is so rational. When she calls in that meeting with the Koto school everyone is like “what did you calls in for?” And she’s like “there’s this Koto club at the local high school that is full of thugs” and everyone is so weirded out by it. There like “ooohh er... that’s bad.” Everyone is thinking “she called us for this bullshit?” That old lady needs to be put in a home or she needs to get a hobby.
The way the girls develop their feelings is so cute. It’s done in such a genuine way. I look at the interaction these characters have and fully believe and understand why these girls would fall in love with Kurata and Kudo (especially Kudo). Though the romance doesn't go very far in this season, I can only assume it'll go somewhere by the next season. I'll go more in-depth with that in a later segment.
We get a new character in the koto club named Akira Dojima, at first her motivations weren't clear. It was kind of hard tell whether she was just there to mess with them or actually help them out. My guess is that she had intended to break their spirits with tough lessons and harsh critiques. It ended up backfiring when she realized that they were taking the lessons to heart. At that point she realized that while they weren't the most talented, they did have a very supportive environment that is perfect for breeding success. It was that high level of determination that won her over.
A lot of the new characters from the competition are unique and interesting and have their own motivations. Some of them might be a little cliche while others are a bit more fleshed out. The concept of being so good at music that you don’t enjoy it anymore is fascinating. I’ve always believed that people enjoy what they’re not good at while others hate what they are good at. While there is a rare few people that enjoy what they’re good at that there are plenty of examples to the contrary. I believe that for someone to be truly good at something they have to enjoy it at least a little. That’s why judges picked Kuruta’s because they had the most heart and drive to win this competition. This resulted in the performance that would take them to nationals.

I really want to talk about new characters but I’m going to briefly talk about the first few characters.
Kurata and Kurusu

One of the reasons this relationship works so well is because it’s completely inverted. Usually, it’s the nerdy boy who wants to date the hot preppy girl. In this case it’s the other way around and Kurata had no intention of working in his charms on Kurusu. She falls in love with him just by watching the kind of person he is. Kurata adopted many of Kudo’s personality traits, like being aggressive and standing up for himself. A perfect scene is when Kurusu is being harassed by this couple from her past. When Kuruta turned around and told them off, I knew that wasn’t something old Kurata would do. I think the time he has spent with Kudo had made him more confident. He doesn’t allow people to walk all over him anymore and he sure as hell isn’t going to let you talk down to one of his club members.
Kurusu is now more focused on being a better person than she is on spinning yarns if bullshit to break people apart. Now more than ever she does want to improve her skills to the point where she will allow people to harshly criticize her. Old Kurusu would have definitely lashed out and given up on it. Kurata’s refusal the to give up in her is the main Kurusu was able to perform her heart out the national qualifier.
Kudo and Huzuki
These characters have come a long way from where they were in season one. Kudo went from a talentless hack to one of the best players in the club. Hozuki went from one of the most cynical and distrusting people to an outgoing young woman. It’s nice to see these two be better people. Both of them have a strong drive to see their goals through to the end. Even if it means embracing people who may not be very trustworthy. Their ability to take criticism is quite admirable; its what ultimately won Akira. They were the only ones determined enough to change and implement some of the things Akira had taught them.
Akira and Her Grandmother
I initially didn’t know how this anime was going to bring new drama and obstacles, thankfully it came in the form of these two ladies right here. Both of them at least at first are extremely bitter about the past and honestly these two need to build a bridge and the get over it.
The great thing about this anime is that there is no ‘evil’ characters. The grandma as I said before is just an antagonist, she just clumsily tries to get in the way because she’s old and bitter. The idea of someone else being the number one koto player is heresy to her. Because it’s all she’s got, she doesn’t have anything other than a lost prestige of an empty shell. She’s like that 40 year old man still talking about the big game back in his high school days.
Akira is the only one that manages to move on and basically has to drag her grandma along with her. This in my opinion leads to some great drama. The scene where all the elite Koto members are at the dojo is some incredibly well made drama. There was a lot of great little moments that lead up to this though. A great scene that really shows off Akira’s humanity is when Hozuki is explaining why she threw the competition, Akira’s inner thoughts to Hozuki’s story was the most perfect thing any adult could think in that scenario ‘oh that’s right she’s a just high school girl.’ Yeah that’s right she’s just a kid who’s been disowned by her own mother. Kids don’t always deal with emotional turmoil as easily, hell neither do some adults. Yeah, Akira is the adult here and she’s the one that has to handle this maturely, which through some clever writing she does.
Akira begins to remember why she started playing the koto, what it meant to her and how she fell into the same despair that her grandma did. After losing her parents at a young age, her brother, the most talented Koto player had to quit and go to work to support their family. This left Akira to take up the mantle of the Tsubaki school’s best koto player. She sacrificed so much not just her happiness but her body and life. After training for 2 years straight she began good enough to make it nationals. She managed to win on a fluke, the idea of Hozuki not taking the competition seriously, basically meant that everything she worked for was completely thrown out the window.
How could that not piss you off, at that point no one is willing to accept that you won the competition even if you did win it.
Slowly but surely she crawls her way out of the darkness that has consumed her for years. That’s why she was able to find the courage to call her grandmother on her nonsense. Which leads me to my next point.

Overall it’s a great series with fun lovable characters. Yes, this anime absolutely recommended.

This here is really a underrated, never-heard-of anime. Also one of my earlier animes that I've seen.
Okay so it's a slice and life, martial arts (kendo specifically) and comedy anime. It revolves around 5 girls who are more or less good at kendo or hitting things with a stick... Plus our male characters who help out on the side and set the story sailing.
So first up lets talk about the intro, like the first 2 mins into the anime you'll probably think, wtf did I just download a initial D anime by accident?!
So with that misunderstanding out of the way lets introduce our CHARACTERS!

First up
...
the star of the show, Kawazoe Tama! She is a tiny character who has a big heart! She is into anime in particular shounen, super hero ones, which has influenced her into being a hero of justice as well. The only downside is that she has a lack of interest in most things, quite plain, quiet and unable make facial expressions. However due to her household having a dojo, which mainly men attend has honed her skills on par if not better than most men.
Next up, our energetic over hyped captain, Chiba Kirino. She is one of the oldest member of dojo, excluding all of the third years that have graduated/do not attend. She is a very caring senpai, at times and has a strong sense of family, even taking a break at kendo if needed. She has big ambitions such has winning nationals with her team and is always trying to motivate her instructor.
Now we have Kinrino's weirdo friend, Kuwahara Sayoko. This girl is as energetic as Kirino and is also one of the older members. However she is much more impulsive and tends to have mood swings which leads to her switching hobbies every now and then. The two of them are best friends and a great comedic combo.
Now we have the blac- I mean pink ranger of the group, Miyazaki Miyako. She has a pretty face and a blacken heart who only has eyes for her boyfriend... F#ck. she is a very dedicated girlfriend and tries very hard to hide her true nature from her boyfriend, but when he is not around she doesn't mind being violent, rude and anything unladylike.
Our final girl, Girl of the hour that showed up when our heroes needed her most Azuma Satori! She is clumsy beyond belief, slow but somehow a great swords-women. She prioritizes studying above all for the sake of her parents.
Now introducing our male characters! First off we have Tama-chan's old friend and "guardian". He ranked at the top ten for national or regionals, I'm not too sure. But he is quite a normal character and plays as the straight man in the comedy. I really liked this kind of character even I started anime, no wonder I like shinpachi from gintama.
Next up, Yuuji's friend Eiga Danjuurou. This egg like guy is as fragile as an actual egg... But he has girls fighting over him... WTF! This is retarded. Well, because of his 'experience' in relationships, he tends to give love advice to his fellow male members much to their disliking.
And finally our last main character, the main gear that sets this story in motion! Ishida Toraji! The story/plot revolves entirely on his financial problems.... Seriously, but he is a great comedy relief character, however a terrible instructor, doesn't really teach anyone anything but their all good anyways... Lacks motivation aside from money and in general a good example of what an adult is not suppose to do.
Art,OST etc.
That took awhile to get through so I'll just fly through the rest. Art is decent for its time, OST, nothing that I remember as outstanding but the opening is definitely catchy.
Now the character development of the girls in particular is pretty well done and gives enough screen time for each girl and definitely adds more depth to them than when they are first introduced, in particular Miyako!

OVERALL:-
Now overall, I really enjoyed this anime, a nice mix of comedy, drama and a slash of intense kendo sparring and even a bit of sword fighting. And oh man the ending twist was crazy and a couple even gets married and woah it's good. So watch this great story of friendship, passion and justice!

Tokyo Ghoul is one of the most famous anime out there so why am I even recommending it when most of you have probably watched it? This time round I am not recommending the anime but the manga. Tokyo Ghoul's anime had a huge hype when its seasons started to air and everyone had high expectations from the new but as the episodes started airing, it was obvious that the anime had taken a wrong course. There were many confusions among the fans regarding Hide's death, Kaneki's sudden changes and many more. Nothing made any sense anymore and the people started dropping

the anime because it was not gripping as it had been earlier because of all the confusion. I was going through the same confusion but I decided to finish off the anime and then picked up the manga because I was super curious about everything and as expected, manga was awesome.
It saddened me to see some of my friends dropping the show and not bothering to read it because the anime lacked important things. The manga provided evidences and substantial plot and character development. There were many arcs that were left out in the anime which were amazingly illustrated in the manga. The sudden appearances and disappearances of the characters made much more sense when I got hold of the real plot. The manga also did a wonderful job in showing the antagonistic features in the characters. The main antagonist, Furuta, was not given a proper spotlight in the anime but in the manga, he came off as a great villain whom I really appreciated. The action scenes are really well described and the emotional element is balanced wonderfully with its dark concept.
Speaking about the manga's art, I liked it. Simple as that because it was nothing special and is a common art style but beautiful as well. There are some panel which I personally found to be absolutely amazing especially those which showed their kagune. They might have a complex design but looks really good. In the end, if you have dropped Tokyo Ghoul, make sure to pick up its manga this time because it will absorb you in its fantastic story of suspense and thrill from the first page itself.

Makoto Shinkai never fails to amaze his viewers with the supreme quality of animation and the plot that he provides. This new movie is just another masterpiece of its own. While it is being constantly compared to Your Name, it is not the same. The movie is so wholesome and wonderful that it completely draws you into the world of magic and wonder. It follows the adventures of a young boy who had left his home and travelled to Tokyo in hopes of getting a good look at the outer world. His paths are crossed by a girl who is capable of controlling the weather

and involving himself with her changes his life forever. The plot was definitely unique and beautiful and the movie did justice to it.
The movie covers various aspects through a teenagers point of view. While there is supernatural elment to it, the actions of the characters seems real. The impulsivness and clumsiness add more of the realistic touch to the movie. The movie also does an excellent job in showing the process of falling in love. The extend that one is willing to go just for protecting someone dear is clearly shown in the movie. It also showed the differences betwen the thinking process of a young teen and the adult which I personally adored. While adults tend to think rationally, teens are often driven by their instincts and that is how the main character of the story is shown to be. All the rationlism and possiblities that the adults tried to tell him fell to deaf ears and in the end, he did what his heart told him to do. In this way, you can personally feel connected to the characters.
This movie is just another wonderful masterpiece which will leave you thinking long after the movie has ended. Its stunning animation mixed with amazing plotline will keep you intrested thoroughly. This movie is a unique creation and different. I strongly recommend this movie to everyone which will take you to a ride in the world full of vigour and adventure.
