Yes, i completely agree with you there! Because not only Date a Live is suffering unfortunately... Index III is suffering a lot as well :/ And they are such well known shows, it's really sad.. For them to have priorities and put shows like OPM above many others, it's a shame.. I watched the PV of OPM and even tho the art style looks different, i thought it was pretty good. That even makes me more frustrated because they are a good studio and one of the most influential in the anime world, but they do some serious shit sometimes and mess really good shows, either visually (DAL) or story wise (Index III). Well, what can we do now at this point :/ just sit back and wait for each episode come out..
Ahh so you're an artist! Now i understand more of your reasoning towards that 1. I really don't understand much about animation/art, i just can only identify if it is good or not and possibly identify some mistakes here and there when i spot them, but yeah this one i completely agree with you, it's a disaster in all fronts, but still, i think it's pretty much bearable, for me at least xD Like you said, who knows if JC Staff might step up their game and fix several things in the next episodes? There was a difference in the pre-air and the regular broadcast tho, that's a plus for me, i've seen both versions and i can say it was better. Hoping for the best! But the thing i'm most worried about is the story, i just want development, it's just part of my excitement haha.
So, all in all.. even with the animation like this, i'll give this a fair score of 7/8 and see where the story goes, but i really do understand your reasoning now tho, and i totally respect that :)
The animation of DAL III might be a letdown but giving it a 1 just because of the animation is kinda overdoing it, and this show is even one of your favorites. I love this show a lot also, and im really frustrated that the animation is pretty awful too, it was really painful to watch i confess, but you know what, just be grateful you can at least have another season of this show. Rating an anime solely based on its animation is a huge injustice. Think about it đź‘Ť give it a chance, and see where the story goes at least. The story can really hold its ground if i do say so myself. The animation style.. well, we can just bear with it and hope for improvements..
