I'm currently watching the Anime at the moment, I've had it on hold for a while. I forgot to put it up that I was watching it lol. x_x Thanks for reminding me lmao.

So when you have a black background and use white with 40% op you will have a 60% gray).
After that I added all the rest, the images of characters, the titles and buttons etc.
As I said, I use brushes. I just brush here and there where ever I feel like. Well, it's not exactly random. You do need to make it look good, so you can't just brush randomly, there has to be some style and idea to it.
I am not sure how you can make grunge or splatter by using vector lines though...
