Overall I give this a quick 6. Much like the previous OVA from season 2, it's another silly and "goofy" fan service episode for the typical male viewer. There's a bathhouse, with Bell and his friends going on another marvelous misadventure to discover the secrets of the bathhouse. At first I thought this would be another OVA with nothing else to add to the plot. However there is vital lore in this OVA. For my one spoiler, I announce the God Ganesha, is absolutely hung.

This is vital lore information, not once is Ganesha's "elephant trunk" mentioned in the books, at least ... to where I've read up to volume 14. Yeah Ganesha is physically well built, he's got nice muscles but I want to know what he's really packing, what's his stamina like?. No homo though.

This is another silly OVA, if you're the typical male viewer and like anime cleavage and anime curves, look forward to this OVA. If you like men with nice bulging muscles, and bodies of absolute gods, then you should also look forward. Hopefully one day big bad Bell will get his demigod muscles and his "elephant trunk."

Baki is another martial arts anime, and I'm kind of a sucker for them. Just simple violence and a simple plot.

The 2D animation is nice, and the 3D animation is used quite heavily for animating fights. Although characters looked quite robotic in their "default stance." My biggest gripe, although nit picky, are how these 3D animators don't know enough about martial arts in my opinion. It annoyed me how these are the "greatest" fighters in the world, but they don't know they should NOT drop their arm(s) while doing a high roundhouse kick. Many times a character would throw a kick, for example their right ... leg. But their right arm would be thrown straight back behind their hip, while the left arm is still up acting as a guard. But for what? If the opponent caught the kick, your same side arm is dropped. A weak guard. Or the opponent blocks the kick and at the same time responds with a left hook, you couldn't block because your guard is dropped. A beginner would make this mistake, throwing your arm back while kicking, because it gives the illusion of power. I know I sure did when I first joined my Muay Thai gym. But I thankfully was corrected and learned how to properly use my arms, legs and hips while kicking either high or low.

Not just that but most of the fighters are flat foot, maybe it's a difference in style but in my opinion it's still wrong. I think you should always be on the balls of your feet because it would make it much easier to turn your feet for any move that requires you to use your hips, for those who don't know almost all punches and kicks (including elbows and knees) require some kind of hip turning, and should be used since it's free power. Hell you can turn your hips while throwing a jab to get a free inch or two on your range since it sticks your shoulder forward a bit. Smaller things that I think a professional would heavily take advantage of, no less the "greatest" fighters in the world.

But that is me nit picking. Despite that I think it's an okay anime. I didn't really watch this because of the story, I knew nothing about the Baki franchise before discovering this Netflix anime. I just watched it because it was a simple fighting anime, and I'm kind of a sucker for those.

I watched this movie on Netflix with English subtitles, and I did enjoy it but I believe it could have been much better.

I think the movie could have done a much better job delving into Shouko's character arc. "How did the bullying affect her?", "Why is she giving her childhood bullies a second chance, what for?" These questions I had were not explored. I think it could've been easier even if it was quickly in passing. An example scene could be Shouko sitting on her bed later the night after seeing Yuzuru blow off Shouya from visiting the sign language learning center, and maybe asking ... her self those questions, and reflecting. "Why would I give my bullies a second chance, after all they did to me?" I think the film at least could have been much better is Shouko had more screen time or at least more time to develop her character. But for me, she ended up being an apologetic, suicidal deaf girl.

At least the visuals are nice, and I thought it was a nice touch seeing a hair stylist mother with dyed hair, but it ends up not sticking out that much when we have the candy cast. I would have also liked at least for the Netflix English subtitles to include what the sign language is saying. There were many times where Shouko would sign something short and sweet, with Shouya responding in Japanese while also signing. Although his response could give me a good clue as to what Shouko was quickly signing, I would have preferred to have a subtitle telling me what characters are signing.

Overall I think it's an okay film. A good story but I still think it could have been executed much better, but it's not a horrible film or the worst of the brady bunch, just an okay film.

Megalo Box is another "martial arts" anime. I believe your personal enjoyment will be heavily dependent on how much you enjoy martial arts anime. There is a story and character arcs, but the main premise is the anime boxing.

The anime follows a simple story. The main character and their supporters started in unregulated, or underground boxing matches and get a chance to prove their worth in the [legal] big leagues. Some characters can be annoying and predictable. But I believe the anime itself is aware of its existence. There is no intricate story because it's a boxing anime. The character arcs are short and simple, ... because the season is 13 episodes long and it's a boxing anime.

But the anime isn't bad, to me.

There is a clear beginning, middle and end in the story. Characters change but they're changes which you could probably predict. But I was mainly watching for the fights.

There isn't much else to add on. My first statement is true to me. If you don't like martial arts anime, or sports anime then this won't be a good choice for you.

This show tries too hard to take itself serious, and the result is a dark comedy. I was under the influence of "medication" while watching this and let me tell you, just because it's funny doesn't mean it's good. This show is like some Adam Sandler movies, it's so bad it circles around to being good, but only because it's so bad.

I'm not a professional reviewer or critic. I hope you see this "review" and understand very well. If you take this show serious at all, I believe you're going to have a bad time.

Story: Japan Sinks, it's in the title. As this event takes ... place you follow the "main" characters, a brother and a sister with everything revolving around them. Sometimes you take a quick break to expand the "arcs" of other characters, but they're thrown around the story a moments notice. I think the idea was to create some "tension" but it could've been just me cause I completely missed it. The story is all over the rails, and it would make sense. The characters are in a race against time. But even in the most tense of situations, the emotions fell on my deaf ears.

Art: decent. but quality either dips slowly w/out you realizing it, or maybe it's because the closer i got to the end, the more lazy the animation looked. and this applies to both the 2d and 3d animation. Sometimes is nice and fluid, and other times it's choppy. But it gets the job done.

Sound: i'm not really sure what to write here

Characters: annoying. There are family characters in the story, and many of their decisions make sense because "that's what a parent would do in that situation." But the stupid girl who happens to be the main character, I won't say exactly what she does which upsets me so. But I will say this, she had many chances to change the outcome of the story and her own selfishness ended up being her executioner. All of the characters, even those crucial to the plot are constantly being thrown on stage and removed again. As if the puppet master didn't read the script, so they wing it with the characters, and the studio ran out of time and money so this is the best you're gonna get.

Enjoyment: kinda-not-really, every time this show tries to be serious, it ended up being stupidly funny. Although this could be from the piss poor English voice acting direction. I say direction because I want to give the English VAs the benefit of the doubt. Many lines are tone deaf in pivotal plot situations. The quality, but most importantly enjoyment would be astronomically better if only the English voice acting was at a higher standard. I don't mean to say the actors are bad, they're not. I'm just going to assume the "higher up" didn't know what the fuck they were doing cause that's the impression i'm getting.

overall: I wouldn't re-watch this even if i wasn't sober.

It's another anime OVA beach episode, similar to the last season's. According to MAL-Sync the source of this OVA is from the light novels, and I'm not sure which one because I've been reading volume 14 in the series and haven't stumbled upon a beach scene, maybe it's in the spin-off?

Overall it's a goofy OVA, you can't take it serious.

I want what the writers were smoking

MyAnimeList has told me to enter a longer review, so a longer review I will give.

I first discovered the Danmachi series back when season 1 was being aired, and I was quite a fan. A goofy (slightly raunchy) take on ... the fantasy world, it's been done before and will never stop being done. I enjoyed the mixture of geek mythology since as a child I had read the Percy Jackson book series.
Last spring I had started reading the light novels on my e-reader, and I had realized the amount of detail which was missing in the anime adaptation. As stated above the "source" is the light novel series, the same series which I am reading right now. I might've missed this scene but overall this OVA is just a goofy and fan service episode.

My overall score is a 6, or Fair, which is the perfect description for this OVA in my opinion. You can't take it too seriously and just let the silly charm take over your mind, body and soul. I'm no serious critic, I don't care about reading into the voice acting performance, sound design or art styles. If I enjoy something I will enjoy it as simply as that. That is how this OVA is, quite enjoyable. The ending left me wanting to know more "What happened?" "What now?" Questions just kept taking over my mind for minutes as the credits were rolling.

27 minutes of pure bliss, and I hope the entire staff had the same amount of fun producing this OVA because I had quite the fun laughing to another ecchi comedy.
