While not something I expected to be grand, it was still quite enjoyable. A very nice bucket of water for any person who just wants to watch something silly/light-hearted after something intense. It's basic humor is surely entertaining for the one episode of the OVA it is. A little generic, but still, who doesn't like a little generic anime from time to time? Arisa's little shenanigans are basically what you'd expect from some cheesy slice-of-life anime, but the good part is that it is condensed into one small OVA. I must say, starting off this manga I didn't have high hopes for it. Zombies aren't really something that catch my attention. Even so, I fell in love with Gakkougurashi.

There's something about bonding with the characters as they struggle to have a normal life, with each of the characters being quite unique in their own way. We see them are their highest highs, and especially their lowest lows. Rarely is there the chance that I disliked a character in this manga (two instances really, I feel as if they weren't fully fledged out), and the friendship among everyone is lively and heartwarming. Around the beginning of the pandemic I stumbled across this particular anime. To some this may feel just like some generic kid's magical girl anime, which it is. And for that reason I enjoyed it very much. Each episode I kept looking forward to it like a little child. I even felt as if I could be a magical girl myself and sing my nights away. This anime also gave me this sense of some nostalgia, as if I grew up in the 80s as well which is when it was released. It's nice n wholesome and well, I never had a dull moment watching ...
